Story
Toby is a 40-pound Wheaten Terrier mix who is searching for his forever home. At 4.5 years old, he can be a bit apprehensive around people, but he absolutely adores other dogs and would thrive in a home with another one. Toby loves playing fetch, rolling around in the dirt, and treats are a great way to build trust with him. He is an independent dog that would do best with someone comfortable giving him his space. Toby would do best in a home with a large outdoor space (farm size) where he can stay active and burn off some energy. If you're searching for a companion who enjoys the company of other pups and an active lifestyle, then Toby might be the perfect match for you. Not fond of cats. THE 1ST STEP IS TO FILL OUT AN APPLICATION ON www.camorescue.com We would love to help you find your next family member. Please understand we are all volunteers and are understaffed. So please be patient with us to respond to your adoption application. Toby's adoption fee is WAIVED TO THE RIGHT HOME. ALL adoptions require a completed application, vet check, home check and final contract. The application to adopt can be found at www.camorescue.com. Adoption fees are variable. Up to date vaccines, microchip, spay/neuter are included in the fee. Once your application has been approved, we will put you in touch with a CAMO representative to set up a meet and greet. We select the best applicant for each dog, based on the dog's needs. For the safety of our small breed dogs and based on our past experiences, we will not place our dogs in homes with large breed dogs. EIN # 46-5486022

Story
Look at this adorable lady who is happy, quiet, and eager to please! Life experience has taught her that the greatest blessing is to have a loving family so if you are looking for a sweet companion - you have found her! We think she is around 10-12 years old so while she doesn't play with toys much, she does have lots of love to give! She has limited sight, but she can climb doggy steps up to the couch and find all the important things - especially her food and water :) She loves food so her foster mom got her a special slow bowl to make her meals last longer. She is mostly potty trained -she tries to go to the door and alert you but if you are gone too long then sometimes she can't wait. She does well exploring the backyard and returning to the house. She is good with other doggies but would also be fine in a home of her own. She currently sleeps in a crate, but your bed or her own bed are good options too! Her little tail wags a lot and she is happy on her own taking a snooze in a dog bed or laying on your lap. So give and get some joy with Mrs. Frizzle! To have your home considered for adoption, read about our adoption process or fees, and find out about interstate transport (dogs only), please visit our website.https://longwayhome.org/apply ❤ Long Way Home makes no guarantees on breed--most animals we receive from shelters are mixed breeds. As long as they need rescue, that's what is most important to us.
