Meet Lani! SEE STRAYCATION UPDATES BELOW! With ears any pup would envy, this one year old girl is 40 pounds of whippet whimsy who is eager to begin her life with a family like yours! Lani enjoyed a weekend away and we are excited to share all we've learned about this fabulous pup! House-trained and crate-trained, Lani doesn't disappoint! She enjoyed hanging out with the kids in her foster family and even did well with their cat! Check out her photo of her curled up on the couch near her feline friend. Prior to coming to GLDR, she also was in a foster home with other pups and did very well! Lani is very eager to please and is one attentive, affectionate girl. Her whole body wiggles with delight when she is with her people. Lani loves a nice fully body massage and is very tolerant of handling. She already knows how to sit and is very food-motivated. We feel she's a highly trainable girl. Lani has been on a few outing and rides well in the car. She also does well on leash and loves exploring! She loves doing zoomies in the yard and is always up for game of tug with her favorite rope toy. Lani will benefit from daily exercise, continued training, and a yard to enjoy in her new home. A fenced-in yard or tie out will be best due to her prey drive. She will make a truly wonderful companion for one lucky family. At the end of the day, she sleeps quietly through the night. Based on our evaluation, we feel Lani would do best in an active home with adults or families with kids ages five and up. She may have the potential to live in a home with other animals and we are happy to do a meet and greet with your family fur baby.
