And yet… she is still loving. Peri has spent the past several months working closely with a remarkable professional behaviorist, and the transformation has been incredible. She has learned that not all hands hurt, that gentle voices exist, and that safety can be real. She now approaches new people and experiences with growing curiosity, though she still carries a healthy caution. Her trust is not given away freely — it is earned — and that is exactly what makes the bond with her so profound. She is deeply affectionate and incredibly sensitive. While she resembles a Heeler in looks, she is not a bold, bossy alpha personality. Peri is a soft soul.
