Meet Guacamole — A Little Quirky, A Lot Special!
Breed: ChihuahuaGender: MaleAge: 5 yearsSize: SmallGood with: Other dogs and warms up slowly to people
Guacamole is one of those wonderfully unique dogs who reminds us that the best relationships are worth waiting for. This handsome boy is an unusual blend of Chihuahua with a little Greyhound mixed in, giving him a one-of-a-kind look and personality.
Guacamole is extremely shy, and earning his trust takes time. He isn’t going to rush up and greet everyone he meets. Instead, he needs a patient person who understands that trust has to be built slowly and on his terms. But once Guacamole decides you’re his person, you’ll have a devoted companion. He tends to be a one-person kind of dog, forming a very special bond with the person who takes the time to earn his heart. And oh, what a reward that is!
Behind that shy exterior is a quirky, funny little guy with a personality that will make you laugh. You just have to be patient enough to wait for him to feel safe and let that side of himself emerge. Guacamole would thrive in a quiet, patient home where he can take his time settling in and doesn’t feel pressured to be something he isn’t. He needs someone who will celebrate the small victories — the first approach, the first tail wag, the first moment he chooses to sit nearby.
For the right person, Guacamole could become an incredibly loyal and special companion. He may take a while to let you into his world, but once he does, you’ll discover a funny, quirky, one-of-a-kind little soul who was worth every moment of waiting.
Disclaimer:The information in this profile is based on observations made while this dog has been in our shelter environment. We strive to describe each dog accurately; however, behavior and needs may change in a new home, routine, or environment.
Our dogs are not free-roaming in homes. “Potty trained” indicates reliable crate training, not confirmed free-roam house training. Accidents may occur during the transition to a new home, and additional training should be expected.
All dogs have been examined by our veterinarian, are spayed or neutered, and are up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations at the time of adoption. While we provide all known medical information, we cannot guarantee future health or the absence of underlying conditions.
ALL adoptions require a completed application, vet check, and final contract. The application to adopt can be found at www.happyfacespetranch.org
Once your application has been approved, a representative will be in touch to set up a meet and greet. We select the best applicant for each dog based on the dog's individual needs.
