Story
Hi I'm Milo! My foster dad rescued me from an abusive household where I was kept in a cage in the garage under extreme heat and was not well fed. I was super skinny. I'm about 2 years old. In my foster home I got 2 sisters. A dog and a cat, and we get along really well. I love my human and I'm ready to give them a lot of love and cuddles, but I'm pretty shy and hard to trust at first. I'm afraid of people because of what they have done to me. My dad would love to keep me. We bonded very well but due to my past I have severe anxiety. Even after being neutered I still need to mark everywhere so I can feel safe. I'm aggressive with strangers because I'm afraid of them and every time I feel insecure, I will growl to let you know that I'm uncomfortable. My dad works a lot and doesn't have the time and money to treat my anxiety or train me, and he doesn't wanna leave me in a cage all day. My ideal home would have a fenced backyard and a loving family with a lot of patience to care for me.

Story
***Local adoption only: Stetson needs a family in the central Florida region (Orlando area) who can commit to taking him to his final puppy vetting appointments with PPR's vetting partners. The cost of this appointment is covered in her adoption donation.*** Hi, I’m Stetson! I'm a 2-month-old Jack Russell - Border Collie blend. I currently weight just 4.5 lbs, but we're not sure how big I'll grow to be. What I do know is that my fosters tip their hats to me and call me a "dream pup" and "one of the easiest they've ever fostered." Favorite Things: Stetson is a playful, active, curious, happy puppy who likes to play with other small- and medium-sized, active dogs. He also loves his meals and gobbles up his dry puppy food quickly and easily. Training & Manners: As a puppy, Stetson will need someone who is at home more often than not during his early months to help train him, to let him out frequently, and to raise him into the fine gentleman he's supposed to be. He's already got some great manners: after a long day of playing, he sleeps through the night in his dog bed. He just needs to work on his housetraining (like any young pup), walking on a leash, and his tendency to chew. Health & Care: Stetson is a healthy guy! He'll just need his flea and tick prevenatives, like any dog. He shouldn't need much elaborate grooming, either, given his short coat.  Other Animals: This playful pup adores other small, playful dogs. He hasn't been observed around cats yet, but his foster thinks he'd get along with them.   Children: Stetson will be a wonderful family dog. He is working on his teeth and so does chew things, which might be difficult with younger children, so he'd do best in a home with patient children, ages 8+. Ideal Home: This quiet little chap and would do fine in any type of home. He does love to run and play and will need space to do this as he grows into a bigger, more active dog. Overall: Stetson will make a fabulous friend for a family in Central Florida who can train him, raise him, and love him forever.  Do you want to throw your hat in the ring to adopt Stetson? Then visit www.PoodleandPoochRescue.org to fill out an adoption application. If it seems like a good match, our team will reach out with more information. His adoption donation is $600. ##2660727##

Story
***Bonded – Bow Wow & Lil Bit are bonded and must be adopted together.*** Meet Bow Wow and Lil Bit! Hi, we are Bow Wow and Lil Bit. We’ve been together for many years and can’t bear to be parted. We’re both curious, gentle and a little shy and we’re searching for a family that has LOVE enough for two. Bow Wow – I’m a 10-year-old Cairn terrier blend boy who weighs 12.6 lbs. I happily follow my best-friend-furever’s lead but I’m also fond of human cuddles. My enthusiastic wiggle when I see my people will tell them all they need to know. Lil Bit – I’m a three-legged Chihuahua who is 13.5 years old and weighs 6.5 lbs. I take the lead in our dynamic duo, like any self-respecting Chihuahua, but Bow Wow is my best friend in the world and we get along like two peas in a pod. I’m also in charge of surveillance in my home and neighborhood, so you can rest easy. Favorite Things: This pair eats, plays, and sleeps together and are very relaxed in each other’s company. Bow Wow loves to snuggle with his human and be scratched behind his ears. Lil Bit likes to sit on her human’s lap when it’s time to chill. They can take or leave toys, preferring to enjoy time with their people and their soulmates over playing with the squeaky stuff. Training & Manners: Bow Wow and Lil Bit are house trained when kept on a regular schedule. They have good basic manners, walk well on their leashes and tolerate a car ride. Both sleep in their own cozy beds at night in their foster home. Health & Care: This is a healthy pair who are up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative, microchipped, spayed/neutered, and recently had dental cleanings. They just need their monthly flea and heartworm preventatives, like any dog. Bow Wow will need professional grooming every 6-8 weeks to look and feel his best while Lil Bit will need regular baths and nail trims that can be done at home. Other Animals: Bow Wow and Lil Bit have experience with other small dogs as well as cats and get along with both but need slow introductions. Children: These two sweethearts would do best in a home with kind, understanding, older children (ages 12+), or a home with no kids and quiet senior living would be great too!  Ideal Home: This pair will need a home without stairs or a pool given Lil Bit’s three-legged physique. And they’ll do best in a single-family home because Lil Bit will bark to alert you to both strangers and visitors (she has a strong resume as security director). They can be left alone in the home for a few hours in a secure space. This duo would do best in a fenced-yard where they can sniff, explore and wander together safely in nature. Overall: If you’re looking for a cuddly couple who make wonderful companions for their people as well as each other, Bow Wow and Lil Bit might be the ones for you. If you think they might be, visit www.PoodleandPoochRescue.org to fill out an adoption application. If it seems like it could be a good match, their foster family will reach out with more information. The adoption donation for the pair is $350. ##1360029##
