Story
Meet Krackel, Cadbury & Lindor 🍫💛 These three sweet souls are part of a group of 10 small dogs we recently rescued from a heartbreaking situation. They spent their early lives confined to crates under a carport and inside a metal shed, with very little human interaction and no experience with leashes or life indoors. Because of that, the world is still a little scary—but their hearts are very much open. Krackel (the tiniest scruffy girl), Cadbury (a taller, gray scruffy girl), and Lindor (a white and tan Chihuahua mix boy) are all about 1.5–2 years old and under 20 lbs. Though timid at first, they want to trust. They gently approach for affection, happily accept treats, and show us every day that they’re ready to keep learning—at their pace. They are sweet, sensitive dogs who will thrive in calm, patient homes with people willing to let trust grow naturally. Once they feel safe, their affection is incredibly rewarding 💕 Their ideal home: - No young children (they’re not aggressive—just scared of loud, fast movements) - Ability to safely crate them if young kids visit - Another friendly dog to help build confidence - A quiet, secure environment - A solid fenced yard is strongly preferred - Krackel & Lindor may do okay in an apartment or townhome with very secure leash routines - Cadbury is the most fearful and truly needs a calm home with a fenced yard They are all: ✔️ Spayed/neutered ✔️ Vaccinated ✔️ Microchipped ✔️ Heartworm negative 📍 Located in Sarasota, FL 💲 Adoption fee: $350 each These little ones have been through so much, but they are ready to write a new chapter—with their people. If you believe love, patience, and consistency can change a life (or three), they’d love to meet you. 👉 Apply to adopt: www.love4pawsfl.org/adopt

I'm Pinto, and I'm accepting applications for my forever human. I'm about 1yr old and a mixed Wire Fox Terrier/ Jack Russell Terrier who specializes in sunbathing, naps, sniffing everything.  I enjoy a good belly rub on my time and bones to chew on. I'm slow to warm up as l've been in a shelter my whole life but now that l have lived in my foster parents home, I'm showing more of my loving personality.  I am mostly deaf and learning more sign language. I am house and crate trained. I'm very good at comforting when you are sad or something is wrong. I will greet you with my tail wagging, I don't mind baths.  I do best in a home that will show me lots of love and affection. I play well with other dogs, my foster parents currently have a big yard with Sandhill cranes that come around sometimes I just want to play with them in the morning but once I'm around them a lot l ignore them. I love being outside and chewing on a good bone. I'm learning to play fetch. I'm calm but active and don't mind walks with a leash. I'm crate and house trained.  I love kids but I haven't been around babies or toddlers yet. I'd love a family who enjoys walks, couch time, plays fetch with me. If you think we'd be a good match, let's meet.  I promise to wag my tail just for you. Story
Scruffy is a male, terrier/border-collie mix. 25#. His vet said that he is 10 years...going on puppy. Scruffy is in excellent health. His male owner (my brother) passed away in early December. They lived together for 10 years, so Scruffy will do well if his new owner is a male. He does NOT like to be alone, so he needs to be with someone who is mostly home. Scruffy is VERY smart, and is used to going out for walks at least 4 times a day. He LOVES to ride in the car but if you leave him (on a cool day) in the car, he will bark until you return. Scruffy is not a cuddler, but is an observer and protector. He is very vocal (i.e.: barks). He barks at other dogs, big trucks, big lawn mowers, and sometimes... just because he feels like it. Therefore, he should not be rehomed in an apartment where he might disturb neighbors. Scruffy has always lived in an apartment, therefore, having a yard to run in is not a requirement. You will fall in love once you meet him!
