Meet Mustang (Partial SPONSORSHIP)! Hi! Thank you for visiting my profile! Mustang can be a bit shy at first. Once she gets to know you get ready for snuggles, belly rubs and lots of love. You can get to know her by tossing treats away from you, then allowing her to come to you for more treats. She also has been working on "sit" so give that a try too! She is fully potty trained. Oh and she wants us to make sure to include that she loves belly rubs-have we mentioned that yet? If a night of snack, snuggling and sitcoms is your thing - we may be a perfect match! Our love bug's adoption fee is $300 which includes being fully vetted, spayed, microchipped and fecal exam. Mustang is 5 years old and petite weighing 33lbs (fully grown). All we can say is Mustang is a ray of sunshine 24/7! Her birthday is 1/14/19. Note: All dogs require a $100 training deposit. Once confirmation of the completion of a training class has been sent to the rescue, you will receive your deposit back in full. As we are a rescue all of our adult dogs/puppies for adoption must be spayed or neutered. Although we make every attempt to have this done before finding their adoptive families, this is not always possible. Please speak with your adoption coordinator to see of this service has already been performed or they will explain to you if your new dog/puppy will need this service while in your care at no cost to you. When emailing please include your phone number to help speed up the adoption process. Also, for the safety of our dogs we only adopt within a 2 hour radius of Joliet, Illinois, to allow our volunteers to do home checks if necessary.

Hello, my name is Iris like the spring flower. Hello, my name is Iris and I am 8 years old. I weigh 41#s.Im a mix of all sorts. I have wiry hair, but I dont shed. Im a Terrier mix. You know there are a lot of Terriers and when you get a mix you get the best of both worlds. Maybe my breeding is a mystery but Im an open book.   My Human passed away and he & I was together. I guess you can say I was his faithful companion until the end. Even though I am only 8 years old and have lots of life in me. I didnt have the best care when I was with my Human. I wish I could have helped him because he didnt have the best health. But I guess in a way I did help him; I was with him until he went to People Heaven.   Some people came and took my Human away and then it was my turn. Where do I go? My Humans family didnt want me, so they reached out to a shelter. There was a kind shelter person that said she will find a rescue so that this mature gal doesnt go into a shelter. Treasured Animal Rescue was the rescue that said, send her to us.   Im in a foster home that has other dogs, cats and kittens. I havent been around small kids so maybe a caution until I get used to them. I like hanging out in my foster Grandmas room with some little dogs. We call that the little dog room but um, Im not little. Remember I weigh 41# but my personality is so chill I just fit right in with the little dog pack.   When I first came to rescue my coat looked bad. My diet wasnt the best but now Im getting really good doggie food and an occasional bath. Having good food always at my side has put some pep back into this mature gals steps!   Are you looking for a mature girl that will lay by your feet and go for a leisure walk? Now that our weather is getting nicer, we can sit outside in the backyard and just feel the sunshine on our faces. I do need a fenced yard because I get skittish, and I dont want to be a stray.   I cant wait to have a family again and be someones faithful companion. I hope my Daddy is up in People Heaven looking down and making sure Im happy. I am a happy girl and I hope one day you & I get to meet. Just say the word and our play date can be set up.
