Story
Mike is a Jack Russell Terrier mix (best guess!) with a big personality tucked into his compact, 17-pound frame. Born on 1/8/26 (estimated), he’s everything you’d expect from a young pup—curious, playful, and always ready to turn everyday moments into entertainment. Mike is a fun-loving, active little guy who enjoys running around the house, playing with toys, and romping with other dogs. He’s friendly and outgoing, happily greeting new people and fitting in just about anywhere. While he’s always up for playtime, he also has a softer side and enjoys being picked up and cuddled when he’s ready to recharge. He’s already off to a great start with training—Mike does well in a crate and is mostly potty trained, though like any puppy, he still has occasional accidents. He’s a quick learner and will continue to thrive with a family committed to helping him build on his skills, including house training, crate training, and basic obedience. He can get a little excited and may jump up on people, but that’s just part of his happy, enthusiastic nature and something his future family can help him polish. Mike gets along well with other dogs, cats, and new people, and his adaptable personality means he could do well in a variety of home environments. He’d especially enjoy having another dog to play with, but it’s not required. If you’re looking for a cheerful, confident pup who brings both energy and cuddles to the table (and prefers receiving kisses over giving them), Mike might just be your guy. His minimum adoption fee is $350 plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents. He has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives.
