Story
Meet Pixie — a tiny dynamo with a big personality! Pixie was found by a kind 97-year-old woman, and while we don’t know how long she lived on the streets, it’s clear this little girl has already overcome a lot. Pixie tested heartworm positive after being rescued and is bravely completing her treatment, which is expected to be finished in early February. Now about 2 years old, she’s looking ahead to a brighter future in a loving forever home. Pixie is a terrier–Chihuahua mix (we think!) who brings confidence, energy, and charm wherever she goes. She’s a high-energy, alpha female who knows what she likes and isn’t afraid to show it — a true “small but mighty” kind of girl. She does well with other dogs and currently lives in her foster home with three large dogs and two other small Chihuahuas. Pixie enjoys walks, doesn’t mind car rides, and once she feels comfortable, she’s perfectly happy entertaining herself with her chew toys. Like many confident little pups, Pixie is protective of her personal space and appreciates having a safe spot of her own. Her crate is her sanctuary, and she may guard her toys — so she’ll do best with an adopter who understands and respects boundaries. She can be vocal at times, as is typical of small dogs, and she makes a great little alert pup. Pixie is still working on potty training, and she’s very treat-motivated, which will help her continue learning and thriving. Pixie would do best with an experienced dog owner who appreciates a confident, spirited little companion with lots of personality. If you’re looking for a spunky, independent, and entertaining sidekick — Pixie might just be your girl. Local adoption fee is $200(in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $450 (includes transport to your area)

These pups are in Aurora, Indiana too!

Story
Rolly is fixed and up to date on vaccines. Rolly (pronounced Roll ee) has more white and freckles on his neck and back.   They have been around our grandchildren since day one and have been very good with them. They are potty trained. They will go to the door designated for their potty time and jump on it, or they will come sit in front of you. When you ask if they need to go outside, they jump and act silly. They know outside or potty as the question to go out.  They are crate trained. We say house and they know where to go. We tell them to sit, stay, lay down, pillow, house, eat, no, up, outside, and potty. No real tricks. We will tell them to get it if we want them to get a toy. They play well together with a rope. They play tug o war. Rolly likes the laser pin light and tries to catch it like a cat. Polly likes the rope like toys to chew on.  Rolly loves to be beside you and will stand on his back legs and fall back on or into you and get love and pet.    We don't leave food or water where they can get it, because they will overdo it. No matter how many times you get onto them.    Rolly is timid in every aspect. He jumped at seeing a wheelbarrow while out in the yard. He jumps at noises and quick movements and cowers down. We have to be extra easy with him. When he gets scared, he will cower and tinkle.    If you are interested in meeting and/or adopting this baby, please fill out an application. They currently are fixed, up to date on shots, wormings, preventatives and are microchipped (with lifetime registration). Adoption fee is $215 with approved application, applications can be filled out at this link. https://www.petstablished.com/adoption_form/10167/generic .We cannot guarantee breed or size when full grown. ##375149##

Story
Pugsley is a sweet, 2-year-old boy weighing in at 16 pounds.  If you are looking for a companion who wants nothing more than to show you how much he loves you, Pugsley is your guy!  While he can be timid when he first meets new people, don't let that fool you.  Give him just a day or two to feel safe, and his true personality shies through.  Once he warms up, he transforms into the ultimate cuddle buddy who actually likes to give hugs! He is potty-trained and does good in a crate. Pugsley does well with other dogs! He just needs a slow introduction and a few days to adjust.  Once he settles in, he loves to play.  Note: Loud growling can scare him, so he prefers gentle playmates. Special Consideration: Pugsley is currently working through some fear regarding male figures. He is hesitant around men and may express his fear, though he does not try to bite. After a few days he will let you pet him but won't let you pick him up. He is currently working on this in his foster home, and he woulld thrive with a family willing to continue to be patient and gentle as he learns that he is safe.  Pugsley is a soulful guy with a lot of love to give to the right person who can offer him a little patience and a lot of heart. If you are interested in meeting and/or adopting this baby, please fill out an application.  Rolly and Polly are both fixed and up to date on vaccines. They have been around our grandchildren since day one and have been very good with them.  They are potty trained. We tell them to sit, stay, lay down, pillow, house, eat, no, up, outside, and potty. No real tricks. We will tell them to get it if we want them to get a toy. They play well together with a rope. Polly likes to get attention and will do whatever he can to get it. He loves to be pet but doesn't settle down beside you. He is constantly moving when petting. Polly will eat at a fast pace.  Polly has a cherry eye. We had one repaired on both of them from your vet in Ohio, and they have done really well with it, but Polly had the other eye flare up. It doesn't seem to bother him. He also has itchy skin. Like his cherry eye, it gets better then flares again.  They do not enjoy baths. I have talked to them and told them how good they are, but they just do not like them.  They will walk on a leash, but Polly likes to pull.    If you are interested in meeting and/or adopting this baby, please fill out an application.
