Greetings, my dear. Magnum here, distinguished senior gentleman, connoisseur of leisurely strolls, good company, and being told how handsome I am. I’ve been around the block a few times, and while I may have a few more years behind me, I still have plenty of pep in my step. I’m an easygoing fellow who walks nicely on leash, enjoys a good cuddle, and can be picked up when necessary. Every now and then, my dignified exterior gives way to my silly side, and I might surprise you with a little burst of playfulness. A gentleman is allowed to have fun, after all.I should tell you something important about me, though: I really, really need someone who will take care of my magnificent coat. Unfortunately, I’ve spent much of my life without the care I needed and have arrived at the shelter more than once severely matted. When I’m covered in painful tangles, I don’t feel good and I become a very sad, withdrawn version of myself. After getting the proper groom and having all that discomfort removed, I blossom into the sweet, happy, silly gentleman I truly am. My future family must be prepared to have me professionally groomed every 6–8 weeks, without exception, as well as keep up with regular coat care between appointments. This isn’t simply about keeping me looking handsome—it’s an essential part of keeping me comfortable, healthy, and feeling like myself. I also have a bit of an issue with my one eye and need daily drops to keep me feeling and seeing my best, the medical people here can fill you in! My Foster Mom says I`m pretty good about getting my daily drops so long as you`ve got some tasty treats. I would be perfectly happy living in a house or an apartment and would enjoy sharing my home with a respectful canine companion or by myself. I may be a senior, but please don’t mistake my age for a lack of personality—I’ve still got some spunk left in these little legs! My history hasn’t always been the easiest, but I’m ready to spend my golden years being spoiled, properly cared for, and treated like the little gentleman I know I am. If you’re looking for a sweet old soul with a touch of sass and a very important grooming schedule, I believe we may have an appointment with destiny.
