**Meet Callie!**
Callie is a 2-year-old Coton de Tulear weighing just 9 pounds. This sweet, sensitive girl has made incredible progress in learning to trust people and is ready to find a patient, understanding family who will continue helping her build confidence at her own pace.
While Callie can still be a little shy when meeting new people, she has come a long way and continues to blossom every day. She is looking for adopters who will respect her boundaries, allow her to settle in on her own terms, and celebrate each milestone as she grows more comfortable in her new home.
Because Callie takes comfort and guidance from other dogs, she requires a home with another confident dog already in the household. Having a canine companion helps her feel secure, provides a positive role model, and encourages her to continue building confidence.
Callie loves running around and playing with other dogs, and she also enjoys playing with toys. Her playful personality continues to shine as she becomes more comfortable, and she would love a family that will encourage her to have fun and enjoy being a dog.
Callie also requires a securely fenced yard where she can safely run, explore, and continue gaining confidence in her surroundings.
A required in-person meet and greet at our shelter is part of the adoption process to help ensure a good fit for both Callie and her potential adopters.
Callie has already made tremendous progress, and with patience, understanding, and the support of a confident canine companion, she has all the potential to continue blossoming into a wonderful companion. She is looking for a family who will help her keep discovering that the world is a safe place while celebrating every step of her journey.

Many NMDR dogs have had limited prior socialization and may need time, patience, and support as they adjust to home life. Skills such as house training, leash walking, and handling may require continued practice. Progress will vary by individual dog.
