Story
WATCH MY VIDEO...Five year old Bailey came to our shelter through no fault of her own. Her family told us that their other pet did not care for her, and sadly, that was enough to turn Bailey`s world upside down. It is heartbreaking to think that a dog can lose her home simply because the animals in the household did not get along. Sometimes introductions are rushed or not done properly, and unfortunately, things do not always turn out the way everyone hopes. But Bailey should not have to carry the weight of that experience into her future. Bailey may be a little shy when she first meets you, but once she feels comfortable, her sweet personality begins to shine. Her former family describes her as happy, friendly, affectionate, and loving. She enjoys belly rubs and will happily follow her favorite person around, just wanting to be part of whatever you are doing. Bailey also has a playful side. She loves chasing her bowl outside, enjoys chewing on bones, and would happily join you for walks, runs, and other adventures. She is very treat motivated, which can be a wonderful asset as she continues learning and building confidence. Her former family reported that Bailey did well with adults, children as young as three, and other dogs. She has never been around cats, so that is something her future family will need to keep in mind. Bailey has already lost the home she knew, and she deserves a chance to discover that one difficult experience does not define her future. She is a sweet girl with a gentle heart, a playful spirit, and so much love to give. She is simply waiting for someone patient enough to let her warm up, loving enough to make her feel secure, and committed enough to show her that she is finally home. Bailey`s next chapter should be filled with belly rubs, walks, playtime, treats, and most importantly, someone who will love her for the wonderful dog she is.
