Story
Pork Chop is a 1-year-old, 12-pound Shih Tzu/Yorkie mix. He’s a very happy-go-lucky and affectionate little guy.
Pork Chop lives in a house with 6 other dogs and gets along well with all of them. He’s happy to either play with them or leave them alone, as each dog desires. He’s also people-friendly, though he takes a minute to warm up to new people. He likes squeaky toys, though he’s not interested in making them squeak. He just likes to chew gingerly around the edges, being sure not to harm the toys.
Pork Chop is very affectionate. He loves lap space when he can get it, and he snuggles into Foster Dogmom at bedtime. He runs circles around Foster Dogmom when she gets home, even if she’s only been gone 5 minutes. He likes to explore the backyard for about 10 minutes, then promptly come back into the house to hang with his person.
Pork Chop has his manners down. He is house-trained, though you will want to stay on him when he first comes to your house to make sure he doesn’t get lax about it. He is totally non-destructive, unless he senses a plate of food on a counter, in which case he is going for it! He rides well in the car. He is not food aggressive.
He is not particularly barky and would do equally well in a house or an apartment. His ideal home would have another dog for companionship. He would also make an excellent family dog.
Pork Chop’s adoption fee is $275 and includes neuter, all shots & microchip. He is heartworm-negative and on heartworm medication.
