Story
Annie was rescued from the state of Tennessee when she was 3, and has been with us for the past year. She is now just over 4 years old. Although she likes to snooze on her bed in the mornings, she has a lot of energy and loves to play fetch and tug of war with her squeaky toys. Annie is protective of her family and lets anyone she sees outside know she is on the alert with her loud bark. Annie's best environment would include a large, fenced yard, or a farm, and an owner who loves to run. She enjoys exercise and walks/runs help her to relax during the day. Because Annie's previous home included young children who were not supervised, Annie would thrive in a home with adults only. Annie takes time to form a trusting relationship, so patience is key. Annie has recently been socialized with two, small Shitzus for six weeks and was excellent in her demeanor towards them and even instinctively protective towards one of the small dogs who is blind.
