Story
Hi my friends! My name is Nessa and here's some information about me: PHYSICAL INFO: Breed: Terrier mix (a best guess!) Age: 4 years approx.  Gender: Female Weight: 44lbs (20 kg)  Current Location: Guadalajara Mexico RESCUE STORY - I was found living on the streets of a town called Paracho. Street life was really tough for me because I looked a little different from the other street dawgs...I had patchy hair and I looked a bit worse for wear. This unfortunately caused me to be bothered by other dogs and people - some who would even try to scare me, hit me or throw water at me! One day a kind lady found me and took me to the vet. It was here that I was diagnosed with Cushing's Syndrome and we had an answer for my patchy hair! Now with my medication, I am feeling much better and ready to find love with a hooman family to call my own (for the very first time)! My ideal hoomans will be able to help me manage my condition which requires daily medication (one pill a day) and frequent blood tests. In exchange, I will give them endless cuddles and love and be the bestest girl they ever met! TEMPERAMENT - I'm a real gem! My foster family describes me as calm, gentle, sweet, quiet and low energy. I am also friendly towards everyone and everything - including cats, kids and other pups! What more could you ask for? I really love being around hoomans and am somewhat of a couch potato. However when I do venture out, either for a car ride or a little walk, I am extremely well behaved. ENERGY LEVEL - Low  GETS ALONG WITH: Kids – Yes! I do well with kids as you can see here.  Dogs – Yes! I get along very well with other pups. Cats – Yes! I am good with cats as you can see here.  PREY DRIVE - Unknown. I’m not too sure how I’ll react around squirrels/rabbits etc. My adopter needs to be prepared and willing to train me through these behaviours, should they arise. TRAINING: Leash skills – My rescuer says I am very good with this as you can see here, however I may need some additional patience and training. House trained – My rescuer says I am very good with this but I may need some additional training and patience.  Crate trained – My rescuer says I am very good with this but I may need some additional training and patience.  Car rides – My rescuer says I am excellent in a car as you can see here but I may need some additional training and patience.  Please Note: WCP highly encourages adopters to do some research and training on their own before their dog arrives.  HEALTH NOTES:  I have Cushing's Syndrome, an endocrine disorder which is managed with a daily medication (one pill a day). This has altered my appearance and this conditon will require regular blood tests. I am looking for an adopter who is willing to take on this responsibility and continue to provide me with the medical care I need to thrive :) I am spayed and vaccinated. NOTE: It is not uncommon for rescue dogs to require dental work/cleaning after they are adopted. West Coast Paws does not cover the costs of dental work and/or vet visits. These costs are the financial responsibility of the adopter. ADOPTION FEE: My adoption fee is $690.00 CAD including tax (5% GST, 7% PST), which includes my airfare, if a flight volunteer is found directly to Vancouver. ------------------------------------- DISCLAIMER: Please visit wcpdogrescue.com to read about West Coast Paws Dog Rescue and it's adoption process. Story
Hi my forever family 🤍 My name is Kong! I’m a 1-year-old girl, about 6kg, and I’m a Welsh Terrier mix with a big personality packed into a small body. I was rescued just before euthanasia, but you’d never guess that from who I am today. I’m bright, cheerful, and full of love. I wake up every day excited about life, and I can’t wait to share that joy with you. I love playing with dog friends, and I really love playing with people even more. Toys are my favorite thing in the world, and I could happily spend hours running, playing, and having fun. I’m still young, so I have lots of healthy energy and I’m always ready for an adventure, a walk, or a play session. I’m smart—really smart! I learn quickly and love interacting with my people. I bond deeply with my family and enjoy every moment of connection and attention. Even though I’m active and playful, I’m not aggressive at all. I’m friendly, curious, and full of charm. Because I’m small, I fit very well into indoor living, but I do best with a family who enjoys an active lifestyle and is ready to spend time walking, playing, and sharing daily activities with me. If you love being outdoors, playing, and giving lots of affection, I think we will be the perfect match. I promise to bring laughter, positive energy, and endless love into your home. I can’t wait to meet you. Love, Kong 🐶💛
