Story
Airedale Terrier + Labrador Retriever Mix 1 year old Male 71 pounds Kids · 8+ Dogs · Yes Cats · No If you are looking for a fun-filled fella then “I Gus” I am just what you’re looking for. Searching for a dog who’s smart, adventurous, and eager to please? Well then, “I Gus” you’ve found him right here. I’m an intelligent young man who will enjoy joining you on weekend camping trips, long hikes, and evenings cuddling on the couch. Trips to the beach would be awesome too, a fond reminder of my homeland of Maui. Coffee shops and city walks might not be my speed, since meeting people on leash isn’t really my strongest skill but I sure do love a good time! Other dogs are fine by me, in fact I love to play, but I don’t enjoy sharing my goodies, and I’d venture to “Gus” that your sturdy children 8+ would adore having me as their pal. I’m housebroken and already crate trained, but I’m looking for you to provide me the love, structure, and comfort I need to settle right into your family. Why keep “Gussing” about it? Hurry on in and meet me! My adoption fee is $200 and includes microchip & registration, neuter, reduced-cost training class, free veterinary exam, 1 month pet health insurance, leash/collar, food sample, toy & treat packet.

Story
Meet Riata – Your New Best Friend!Riata is a beautiful brown female Idaho Shag, a unique and clever mix of Airedale Terrier, Border Collie, and Australian Shepherd. Originally trained as a livestock dog, Riata made it clear she prefers the comforts of indoor living—soft beds, human companionship, and a peaceful routine are much more her style. This sweet girl absolutely shines with people. She’s gentle, affectionate, and wonderful with kids, making her a fantastic companion for a family looking for a loyal, people-oriented dog. She loves attention, learns quickly, and bonds deeply with her humans.Riata does have a few quirks: she finds cats way too exciting to resist chasing, and she can be uncomfortable around other dogs when she’s scared or nervous. Because of that, she’ll do best as the only pet in a calm, understanding home where she can feel safe and settled. If you’re looking for a smart, devoted, indoor-loving companion who will adore you endlessly, Riata might be the perfect match. Come meet this special girl and see why she steals everyone’s heart! What her adoption fee covers:&#226&#156&#133 Spay&#226&#156&#133 Vaccines&#226&#156&#133 Microchip&#226&#156&#133 Treated for fleas and worms Interested in meeting Riata? Please email: adoption@columbiahumane.org for an application.Adoption Fee: $350For more information call 503-397-4353 or email adoption@columbiahumane.orgDecember 5, 2025, 6:35 am
