Story
This pet is part of the rehoming program and is not in the care of the CCSPCA. Please read carefully and reach out to the owner directly via cell: 209-777-1594 or email: smiller29.ucm@gmail.com. Owner states, “ Ladybird in a 5-6 year old female (neutered) Akbash/Labrador. She is up to date on her shots and well trained, including leash training. As an Akbash/Labrador she in a wonderful mix of both breeds. Being part guardian dog she tended to our chickens. Keeping them safe from hawks and coyotes and never putting her mouth on them as Labs might do. But like a Lab she loves to be active, play in water, cuddle, and curl up on the living room floor. If you live on a big piece of property with chickens or like to go on walks or hike regularly Ladybird would be a fantastic companion and loyal friend. Ladybird has enjoyed other dogs and kids. She will chase cats if they run but never harms them. She is a follower and mimics the behaviors of those around her. If you are uneasy with someone, she will be also. She loves my kids. She is a large breed and needs management with small children just in case she gets excited. If children back away from her she ignores them, but if they want to pet her or play, she lets them. She loves our 8-year-old nephew who play wrestles with her. She has never bitten anyone. Ladybird does great on car rides, at the vet, and on the leash.` Due to the pet not being in our care, it is out of our control when and if the owner responds to your inquiry. Thank you.
