Story
Patou is my beautiful Great Pyrenees, and this decision has been really heartbreaking for me. I adopted him through Furry Friends after he came from a difficult situation on a hunting farm in Okeechobee, and from the beginning he has been deeply loyal, soulful, and sweet. He is about 4–5 years old, neutered, and has the classic Great Pyrenees guardian instincts. He is amazing with other dogs and really loves having dog companions, but he is still very fearful of many humans and needs someone patient who understands guardian breeds. I love him so much, but I’ve come to realize that my home and lifestyle are not the best fit for his needs. I think Patou would do so much better with an experienced owner, ideally somewhere quieter with land, other dogs, and space for him to do what he was bred to do. I am not rushing to place him anywhere. I just want to find the right, safe, loving home where he can really thrive.
