Bear is a 4-year-old Anatolian Shepherd with a big presence, a big bark, and an even bigger heart for the people he calls his own. Once Bear is comfortable and knows you’re his family, his loyalty shines through in the best way. He’s playful with toys—especially anything that squeaks—and he absolutely loves being outdoors, feeling the breeze on his face or soaking up the warm sun stretched out on a patio. Bear thrives on positive encouragement and tasty snacks, and he enjoys learning and building confidence with someone patient and kind. When first meeting new people, he can have a bit of a “stranger danger” attitude, but with time and trust, he shows his goofy, devoted side. Bear was born with a condition that makes his back legs weaker, and he can experience muscle spasms. However, this has never stopped him from enjoying life—he doesn’t let it slow him down or dampen his spirit. Because Bear loves being the center of attention, he would do best in a home without other animals. He’s often overlooked because of his size and loud bark, but in reality, he’s just waiting for a family to call his own, someone willing to work with him, build his confidence day by day, and cherish his loyal, silly nature. All Bear dreams of is a loving home, a nice spot to lounge in the summer sun, and people who will see him for the wonderful dog he truly is. 💛
