Meet Dunkin, a young adult Great Pyrenees/Terrier mix. He's basically an 79 pound baby in a dog suit. Dunkin loves to play with other dogs. He craves and is thankful for any human attention he can get.If dogs weren't experts at living in the now, Dunkin would surely be feeling like a yoyo.Dec. 2020 he was born to a canine momma who loved and cared for him. Feb. 2021 Dunkin came to St Francis as a little pup when his human family just couldn't manage him and his siblings. Thankfully, he didn't have to wait long.April 2021 he was adopted into a loving family.Feb. 2022 Dunkin was returned to St Francis because, "he got too big."June 2022, after 122 days with us, sweet Dunkin was adopted by a young man who loved this sweet, playful boy. Dunkin and his young man had room in his hearts for another. They fell in love and got engaged to a dog loving woman. Unfortunately, her senior, set in his ways, alpha dog had no interest in welcoming young Dunkin into his life. Dunking's 2 hoomans tried for nearly a year to create a safe space for all of them to live with acceptance and harmony. But, it just was not meant to be. Sept. 2024, through no fault of his own, sweet Dunkin is back with us at St Francis. Dunkin is heartworm negative, neutered, up to date on his vaccines and microchippedIf you are willing to come and meet this wonderful boy and give him a chance please apply at www.stfrancis-care.org/adopt.
