At 91 pounds, Max is a whole lot of dog — and an even bigger amount of good boy! This approximately 3-year-old Anatolian Shepherd mix is the total package: handsome, well-mannered, and ready to find his forever family. Max is an easygoing guy who gets along with other dogs, does well with cats, and is wonderful with people of all sizes. Kids? Adults? Tiny humans? Tall humans? Max is happy to make friends with them all! Even better, Max is already house-trained! No need to start from scratch with this big guy. He's neutered, fully vaccinated, and ready to trade shelter life for a couch, a yard, and a family to call his own. If you've been looking for a loyal, loving companion with a heart as big as his paws, Max might just be your guy. He has so much love to give and is ready to find the people who will love him right back. Max is ready to go home! Could that home be yours?

Story
Oscar was an accidental puppy born on a small farm in Southeast MO. The second I saw him, I fell in love with the little guy and he came home with me. He has since grown into a small horse and now hovers around 85 pounds. He’s a very good dog and does what his breed is born to do, which is to love and protect his pack. We now have a small child with another on the way. With my work hours and the time we dedicate to our children, Oscar just can’t get the attention he deserves anymore. He will be very well suited for a home with older children or to owners with an extra hour or two per day to spend time with him. He does require brushing, occasional walks, and ideally a yard to spend time in. He doesn’t get the zoomies often but he does love to play and rough house with his toys. He is extremely loyal and, while sometimes stubborn, will obey commands.
