Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Rigby – aka “Big Rig” This handsome one-year-old Akbash mix is all legs, love, and loyalty. Neutered, up to date on vaccines, and ready to roll into his forever home!   Big Rig is the total package — a mix of goofy, gentle, and pure sweetness. He’s got the zoomies down to an art form but can quickly settle down for belly rubs and head scratches. He adores kids (like *really* adores them), loves all dogs, and hasn’t met a human he doesn’t like.   He’s not aggressive — just a little soft-hearted and sometimes timid — but once he trusts you, he’ll be your biggest, most loyal shadow. Cats? Well… he thinks they’re fun to chase, so a feline-free home is probably best.   Rigby’s a smart boy too! After just a couple of weeks of training with his SpotOn collar, he now lives fence-free and sticks close by like a pro. He loves the great outdoors but also enjoys joining you inside for snuggles.   Now, here’s the real story — his girlfriend has decided she’s done with the relationship and wants to keep the house . Rigby’s taking it like a champ, though. He’s ready for a fresh start where he can finally love freely without looking over his shoulder for a grouchy partner.   One look into his big brown eyes and you’ll understand why we all call him *Big Rig — the sweetest boy on the road to his forever home.* &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143   Currently in foster care and ready to meet his people Best in a cat-free home Neutered & UTD Great with kids and other dogs Fence-free trained Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.December 14, 2025, 11:58 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Hazel Hazel is a stunning 2-year-old Great Pyrenees currently at our Missoula, MT facility, and she’s ready to start her next chapter. She is vaccinated and will be spayed this week. Hazel was surrendered after living with her female littermate—sometimes even the best dogs just need space to grow into themselves. Since arriving, Hazel has done very well in the kennel and gets along nicely with other dogs, showing that a change of environment was just what she needed. She has previous experience as a livestock guardian dog, though she has a talent for scaling fences, so a home with secure fencing and someone committed to helping her learn boundaries will be essential. With guidance and consistency, Hazel has all the potential to thrive in the right LGD setting. Hazel is very sweet, loving, and gentle, and she’s currently learning to walk on a leash. She’s a big, beautiful Pyrenees looking for a knowledgeable LGD home that will give her the structure, space, and love she deserves. Apply today to meet Hazel at our Missoula, MT facility! Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Shayla and Tucker’s story has been a long one, but today we finally get to share some good news. We first took these two in back in mid June from the Apple Valley Animal Shelter in California. They came in as strays, most likely dumped together, and Shayla had two tiny puppies with her. For a Great Pyrenees litter it was unusual, but sadly those puppies became sick at just 10 days old. We rushed them to the vet and spent $1,200 trying to save them, but both tested positive for distemper and did not make it. We were heartbroken. From that moment on, our focus was on saving the parents. Shayla and Tucker also tested positive for distemper, so we put a plan in place. They stayed in strict quarantine in California while we paid for their boarding, food, and ongoing care. Every monthly retest cost over $800, and after four months and repeated testing, we finally got the negative results we had been praying for. All in, their care, quarantine, testing, food, and vet visits have cost several thousand dollars — and every single dollar was worth it. Shayla and Tucker are now fully negative for distemper, healthy, happy, and officially spayed and neutered thanks to the wonderful vet team in California. They’re living the good life while they wait for transport and will be heading up to Montana very soon. They are finally ready for their next chapter. Typical Pyrs… a little dramatic, incredibly resilient, and absolutely worth every bit of the effort.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.December 15, 2025, 11:04 pm
