Born around March 15, these puppies entered the world with everything stacked against them. Just days old, seven newborns were placed in a box and left on the side of the road. Cars passed… until someone finally stopped and looked inside.
Seven tiny lives. No mom. No warmth.
Heartbreakingly, two didn’t make it. But five little fighters survived—and today, they’re safe, healthy, and ready to find the loving homes they were always meant to have.
Now about 8 weeks old and around 8 pounds, these pups are growing, playful, and full of personality. We believe they are Shepherd mixes, and while we can’t say for sure, we estimate they may grow to be around 50 pounds.
This sweet group includes 4 girls and 1 boy, each one a reminder of just how strong and resilient these babies are.

We may not know exactly what their future size will be… but we do know one thing for certain: they deserve families who will never let them feel abandoned again.

Paws of Dixie Animal Rescue adopts in the New England area. Our adoption fee includes the spay/neuter, up to date shots, Microchip, Alabama Health Certificate, and the transport service to get the new family pet to you.
The pets are delivered by a licensed transporter.

Please be advised that our volunteers are busy rescuing, transporting, and caring for our animals. We will respond to your application as soon as possible. Upon review of your application, the rescue in AL will contact you, so you can ask any specific questions that you may have.
NOTE: All Paws of Dixie animals are located in AL foster homes. They will be transported north after adoption.
If there is more than one decision maker in the home, all of them should be in agreement.
