Story
**Hi! I'm Poppy 🌺🐾** Just like my name, I think life is better with a little sunshine. If you ask me what my perfect day looks like, it starts outside. I love feeling the breeze, exploring the yard, sniffing all the interesting smells, and finding the perfect sunny spot to stretch out and watch the world go by. The outdoors is definitely my happy place. I'm a sweet, friendly girl who enjoys spending time with my people. Whether we're wandering around the property, relaxing on the porch, or just enjoying a quiet afternoon together, I'm happiest when I'm close to the people I love. I think I'd be happy in a home with a room to roam—maybe a place in the country where I can enjoy nature and all the sights and sounds that come with it. Basically, I'm Poppy—a little bit of sunshine, a little bit of fresh air, and a whole lot of love waiting for the right home. 🐾 **If you're interested in adopting me, please apply online to be considered:** 👉 [https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/AHTN/Dog] 🏡 **Open Hours:** Tuesday – Saturday | 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM Come meet me—I think we'll both know when we've found home. 🌺💕

Story
**Meet Asher 🐾** Asher is a big, handsome young dog with a friendly personality and a lot of potential. At just over a year old, he’s still growing into himself and learning how to navigate the world, but he already enjoys people, activity, and being part of a routine. He does well meeting new people and enjoys outings like walks and time spent exploring. While he’s not especially toy-driven, he stays engaged through interaction and benefits from regular exercise and structured activity. Asher is also **very food-motivated**, which makes him a great candidate for continued training. Asher has received some basic obedience training and responds well to a **confident handler** who can provide clear guidance. He can be excitable at times and may pull on leash, but he looks to his person for direction and continues to make progress with consistency. He currently attends doggy daycare and enjoys playing and socializing with **female dogs**. He is best suited for a home without male dogs, as he can become uncomfortable around them. Dog parks are not recommended, but he can do well in more structured, controlled social settings. Asher is accustomed to grooming and tolerates **baths, brushing, nail trims, and professional grooming** well. He will require regular brushing (2–3 times per week) to maintain his coat. He is also prone to ear infections in one ear, so routine ear care will be important. With cats, Asher shows curiosity but tends to be cautious. He may be able to coexist with a **dog-savvy cat** who maintains boundaries, though supervision and a thoughtful introduction process will be important. Asher’s ideal home will provide **structure, routine, and confident handling**, along with opportunities for continued training and engagement. He is a dog who benefits from clear leadership and consistency, and in return offers a friendly, social presence and a willingness to learn. 📌 **Courtesy Post:** Asher is not an AHHS program animal. He is being shared to help him find a home, and placement will be handled directly with his current owner. 🐾 **If you’re interested in adopting Asher, please apply online to be considered:** 👉 [https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/AHTN/Dog]💛
