Fred came to us from a case of cruelty and neglect&#44 along with several other dogs. When they arrived&#44 every dog was severely malnourished and underweight: the result of living most of their lives without proper care&#44 safety&#44 or love.<br/><br/>Because of the conditions he endured&#44 Fred has some difficulty with his hips&#44 and at over 10 years old&#44 hes a senior boy whose body has clearly carried a heavy past. <br/><br/>We dont know how much time Fred has left&#44 but we do know one thing for certain: he deserves to spend whatever time he has in comfort&#44 kindness&#44 and love.<br/><br/>The shelter environment has been incredibly hard on Fred. He is extremely stressed and not doing well&#44 and its clear that kennel life is not where this gentle senior belongs. Fred needs a hero&#44 and he needs one soon.<br/><br/>Fred has lived with other dogs before and may do well with canine companions&#44 but we recommend meet-and-greets with any potential dog friends&#44 along with slow&#44 thoughtful introductions in the home to set everyone up for success.<br/><br/>If you have room in your heart to give a senior dog peace in his final chapter&#44 Fred is waiting. He doesnt need perfection - just patience&#44 softness&#44 and a safe place to rest. <br/><br/>Come meet Fred at 5001 Fred Wilson&#44 open daily from 11 AM - 6 PM
