Dollie came to us with an injured paw, and from day one she has shown nothing but sweetness, patience, and trust. Even during bandage changes and treatments, she has been the perfect patient, leaning gently into our hands and looking up with the softest eyes. She is a truly special young dog. At only about a year old, Dollie still has her whole life ahead of her. She is affectionate, gentle, and loves being close to people. She is also dog friendly and enjoys the comfort of canine companions just as much as she loves human attention. We are still evaluating the long-term condition of her injured leg. It is possible she may be able to keep it, but there is also a chance she may ultimately need further intervention. What we know for certain is that Dollie deserves a calm, loving home where she can continue to heal with consistency, care, and comfort. We would love to place her in either a foster or adoptive home so she can recover in a quiet environment instead of the shelter. She will thrive with someone who can offer her softness, patience, and routine as she continues to heal. Now she just needs someone to show her what it feels like to be safe and loved at home.
