Story
If you're looking for a loyal, loving companion who is equal parts cuddle buddy and adventure partner, Yeti may be your perfect match!
Yeti is fully potty trained and has excellent house manners. He has enjoyed free roam of his foster home's main floor while his family is away and has been completely trustworthy. Rather than getting into mischief, Yeti simply finds a cozy couch, soft rug, or comfy bed to curl up on until his people return.
This handsome boy walks nicely on a leash and is comfortable being handled during outings. He learned the crate routine quickly, entering with little prompting and settling in comfortably. Yeti also knows several basic commands, including "sit," "stay," and "go."
Yeti is calm and well-behaved indoors, adapting easily to everyday household routines. He has been wonderful with children and teenagers, especially his foster family's 16-year-old daughter, whom he happily follows around the house. One of his favorite things in the world is rolling over for a belly rub from his favorite people.
While there are no other pets in his foster home, Yeti has met neighborhood dogs and has done very well. He approaches politely, shows friendly curiosity, and enjoys running the fence line alongside them. His interactions have been social and excited. Because of his easygoing and adaptable nature, Yeti could likely thrive as either an only pet or in a home with others.
Yeti loves spending quality one-on-one time with his people. Whether it's snuggling on the couch, relaxing by your side, or sneaking into bed for a cuddle, he's happiest when he's close to those he loves. When meeting new people, he is calm, gentle, and friendly.
His favorite activities include playing with plush toys, a good game of tug-of-war, and occasionally chasing a ball. Yeti has a moderate activity level; he enjoys walks, playtime, and zooming around the yard, but settles down quickly once back inside. He does an amazing job matching the energy of his environment.
Perhaps Yeti's most charming trait is the sweet way he asks for attention. When he'd like some extra love, he'll gently place his paw on your arm or lap as if to say, "Excuse me, I think I'm due for some pets."
Friendly, affectionate, calm, and incredibly loyal, Yeti truly embodies the phrase "gentle giant." His loving personality, excellent manners, and devotion to his people make him a very special dog who is ready to become someone's best friend for life.
Yeti has an adoption investment of $500. Yeti’s higher adoption investment does not mean we value his life more than others. We do not see dogs like Yeti enter our care very often. Therefore, his higher adoption investment will help create a financial legacy for the dogs that stay in our care for longer periods of time or require significant medical investment.
