Dakota is a handsome name, kind of a "rugged" kind of name, right?? I am kind of a REFINED RUGGED kind of boy! NOT!! I am a snuggle bug looking for tummy scratches....I willl MELT for one!! Here is what one of our amazing fosters have to say about Dakota...."Super freaking sweet, loves loves belly rubs, is very strong when you walk him but listens well. VERY treat motivated and knows sit down paw and i just taught him roll over yesterday but its a work in progress 😝. Super playful, he will pounce around you and then roll over for belly rubs and absolutely melts for the belly rubs and kisses" I love playing and running with my doggy friends, however, I can lay at your feet very sweetly to beg for your attention. I am kind of like a "reverse" planter as well. I mean, you plant it and i will un-plant it for you :D I won't do it often, just when I want your attention and I am outside alone. So see?? you have great control over that urge! So I am a food and toy lover too, I eat out of a slow feeder bowl because wolfing down my food is not an option! I am learning all things toys and am actually learning how to bring the ball BACK after you throw it. I am a smart and very sweet boy. I do absolutely have a prey drive so no kitties for small furry mammals around me please. I am fully potty trained and great in a crate. Now i just need you to adopt me to complete my circle of life. Now, before you go all "Lion King" on me, just know that I will be your bestest buddy forever!! I am two VERY loyal breeds and once I know you are my family, you will have my unending love :) Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $450 (includes transport to your area)

His gentle nature makes him a joy to be around, and his mellow temperament means he's just as happy by your side as he is playing in the yard. He is great with kids and enjoys the company of other dogs, making him perfect for a family or a single person. Once a bond is established, Jacob has lots of unconditional love to give a new family. Calypso was surrendered to Memphis Animal Services severely emaciated and heartworm positive, assumed to be a shepherd mix. After being pulled into rescue, it was determined by DNA that she is American Bully, Akita, American Pit Bull Terrier. True to her roots, Calypso is opinionated, has a high prey drive, and is loyal to her person. She tries to eat the water out of the hose, she loves her ball that makes noises, and loved to get treats. Calypso needs someone familiar with the Akita breed, and someone who is willing to put in some serious training hours so she has the skills to be the best possible version of herself. She is smart, and ready to work. She currently lives in a home with other dogs but only gets along with two of them. She does not like new dogs. She lives with cats but cannot be left unmonitored with them. She lives with children but is very high-energy, so small children not recommended. Calypso has completed her heartworm treatment.
