Story
- Like my name implies, I am a high octane guy looking for an active household- I`m very food motivated and easy to train, but just need consistency and structure- I can have dog friends/playdates, but I would prefer to live without other animals since I don`t like to share my items with them- I am working on my house training, but making progress!- I am excited to go out on leash walks and adventures with my humans, and am working on my impulsive tendencies while outside. What can I say, I just love to be doing fun things with you! Dogs: Not to live with, but can have playdatesCats: NoKids: Teens+Weight: 52 lbs.

Story
PLEASE NOTE! Unless stated otherwise, our dogs and puppies are located in Arkansas, and transported to the north/northeast once adopted. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet. 11/28/25**Malcolm has become urgent. He is safe in his foster home but he really needs an adopter ASAP*** Please message us for more info. His adoption fee is WAIVED!    Highlights- House trained, crate trained Good leash manners Knows basic commands No small animals No young kids Does well with the dogs in his foster home but is not good with the dogs that have come to visit his foster home. Details: Malcolm had a home once. Before he became a stray he was neutered, someone loved him enough to do that for him. Then did he get lost, or was he abandoned? When he entered the high kill shelter he had no baby teeth, so he was 6-8 months old. He was pulled from the shelter to save him from euthanasia. After getting into our rescue, Malcolm went to the Paws in Prison program where he learned all the commands a good doggy needs to know. Now Malcolm is in a foster home, practicing how to be part of a family. He loves intensely, but sometimes in the daily chaos he forgets that he is safe and does not need to struggle to survive anymore. He is a resource guarder and is protective of his people. Malcolm would do best in a home with no small animals or young children. He is fully house trained, crate trained, walks well on leash, and plays great with the resident dogs, but he does not want visitor dogs in his home. He loves puddles, and car rides, and walks in the woods. He’s sort of a goofy, bull in a china shop kind of guy! Malcolm is a fantastic mouser! He has to be touching his person on the couch and in bed. He chews toys to bits, but he has not been destructive otherwise. He just needs a special adopter to give him the time and patience he needs to thrive. He is a mixed breed, estimated 1.5-2 years old, about 70 pounds. He is neutered, UTD on vaccines, microchipped, and on flea/tick and heartworm prevention. In New England. To apply, please fill out the adoption app: https://form.jotform.com/212690945239059 Message us or email apps.aasr@gmail.com with any questions. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Our typical adoption fee for puppies younger than 6 months old is $400, and for older puppies and adults, the usual fee is $350. This includes microchip, spay/neuter,  up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, dewormings, flea/tick treatment, and heartworm test (if over 6 months old) as well as heartworm treatment if they test positive. Story
Available for Texas or PNW Adoption Athena is a big, black and beautiful girl who is looking for an experienced owner to share the rest of her life with. Athena loves people, is food/toy motivated and picks up on new skills/training easily. Athena is one of the rescues favorites and she has been waiting far too long for her furever. Athena will do best in a home where she knows the expectations of her, where she can be an only dog with no cats and, though super friendly, due to her size would do best if any children are older. Athena loves to swim (to the point that if she can see water she will be in it), play with balls and destuff any stuffed toy she can find. Athena is house trained, takes treats gently and is crate trained. Athena has been through quite a lot, from being a junk yard dog with a thick chain around her neck, to being adopted and then returned at not fault of her own. Our behavior team has been working very hard with Athena on all things dog and she has come so far. She is a dream on leash, takes corrections well, will sit and wait at the kennel door until her handler is ready for her and rides respectfully lose in the car. To say Athena is loyal is an understatement, every part of her wants nothing more then to please her human, love them day in and day out and be their best adventure buddy. Previous fosters report Athena as being a happy friendly girl who has yet to meet a stranger. Are you her forever? Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! In addition to a fully vetted furbaby, you also receive many other additional perks such as a 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion (must register within 24 hours of first vet appt.), a free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus incredibly low pricing for future sessions, 50% off of your first BarkBox order, coupons for a fun visit to Petco, and support through our FB Adopter group where you can connect with thousands of other adopters, 3LP volunteers, fosters and staff. The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is one of the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone! Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no choice but to euthanize animals for space. We prepare them for adoption by properly vetting and providing individualized care through our incredible behavior program that consists of socialization and leash training for all animals that enter our adoption program prior to matching them with loving families who will treasure them for the rest of their lives. They are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts once adopted, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! Three Little Pitties Rescue will soon be celebrating our 5 year anniversary! Over the course of this time, we have been very fortunate for so much growth, allowing us to further connect with the community and save many lives. Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 10,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be brought into our rescue program. Together, we can be heroes. Follow along on our rescue journeys through the links below! https://www.threelittlepittiesrescue.org/ https://www.facebook.com/threelittlepittiesrescue https://www.instagram.com/threelittlepittiesrescue *Due to the rising cost of fuel and transportation expenses, there will be an additional $42 surcharge.
