Story
Gizmo is a German Spitz. He was born on 5-18-2023. He went through at least 2 owners before coming to Pals. When we got him, he was a very frightened little dog, who acted out of fear when strangers approached. He was also a typical Spitz when it came to protecting his owner. We have had him in the program for awhile as we worked on his behavior. He had to go into boarding at Wag'en Tail ranch for several days. Well, that was the best thing that could have happened to Gizmo as he overcame his fear and was a totally different dog when he was picked up. We applaud the staff at Wag'en Tail as they must have broken through his fear and let him know that strangers are not bad. We thank them for that. So now little Giz is ready for adoption, but to a home that understands the Spitz breeds. We are looking for an experienced home with this breed type, and one that would have a dog that he could play with, as he really wants to have his own play dog, preferable a female. He would do best in an adult home. This breed is very smart and active, and would be a great companion and protector when needed. He is about 12 lbs, house and crate trained. He has his favorite ball that he loves to throw up in the air and then catch., which will come with him when adopted. We are located in Wichita, Kansas. following is a link to our application. It's amazing how I cannot dote enough on this sweet boy. He is friendly, seriously vocal, animated and agile and has the best RBF every. Ever heard "never turn your back to the Ocean?" Well, you'll never need to after meeting this kid. He will constantly love and entertain you. A playful, active puppy looking for long walks on the beach and lots of cuddles with his forever family. He is quick to learn and is happy to make you smile. *due to his conversational abilities, Ocean would be best in a home and not suggested for an apartment.

Dog Friendly: Yes Cat Friendly: Yes Kid Friendly: Yes Hazel is looking for a foster or forever home. She is dog and kid friendly, sweet and sassy ball of energy. She LOVES to play and run. Zoomies are her favorite pastime, her play style is rough and tumble, and she enjoys destuffing all of her toys. Even with her higher energy level, Hazel is great about reading the room and will settle down when everyone else has so she can chill on the couch with you. Hazel would do best in a home with another submissive dog due to her dominant personality, but she has gotten along great with other dogs as long as her boundaries are respected and she’s properly introduced. She’s kennel and potty trained, walks pretty well on a leash with some pulling here and there, and loves her people. Hazel starts out a little cautious of men, but warms up quickly! She will need a home that will ensure they can keep her safe. She has managed to get out of the yard by climbing the fence so she will require a 6 foot fence at minimum.
