Story
Meet Floyd 🐾
There are some dogs that just get you — the kind that make you laugh every single day without even trying. Floyd is that dog.
He's a Husky/Shepherd/Border Collie mix turned 1 year old, which means he's got the brains of a Border Collie, the soul of a Husky, and just enough derp to keep things interesting. He's up to date on vaccines, neutered, and loves both kids and dogs with his whole heart.
Floyd's hobbies include: sleeping with his tongue fully extended (a masterpiece), watching The Dog Whisperer like it's required coursework, long walks at the park, and occasionally — when formally invited — singing the songs of his people. He's the kind of dog who makes strangers stop and smile.
The honest stuff, because Floyd deserves honesty: He has some crate anxiety. He goes in willingly to relax or eat, but when he's home alone, he gets stressed and has actually chipped a tooth trying to get out — and I refuse to let him hurt himself anymore. He roams the house now and does really well, especially after a good walk before you head out. He's on trazodone from the vet to help him settle, and he's still growing into himself. If you plan to crate, a trainer recommended an impact crate or solid-bar style. Also — he's fine around cats on walks, but the first time he met a kitten he had no idea what it was and gave chase. A cat-free home would probably be his sweet spot.
A yard to run in? Friends to play with? That's Floyd's dream life.
As for me — I'd love nothing more than an open adoption. I'll dog-sit whenever you travel. I just want him to be happy and loved, and I know he will be, because he's already everything to the right person. He's been through a lot in his first year, and he deserves someone who'll go all in for him.
Questions? Please ask. And please share — Floyd's people are out there. 🐕
