🐾 Meet Smokey! 🐾
Smokey is a playful, affectionate, goofy boy with a big personality—and a seriously unfair set of blue eyes. 💙
He LOVES attention, toys, tug, and spending time with his people. Whether he’s playing, exploring, or just hanging out by your side, Smokey is happiest when he gets to be part of whatever you’re doing.
He’s a smart boy, too! Smokey is fully potty trained and crate trained and knows sit, shake, kennel, leave it, and drop it. Now, does knowing what you’re asking mean he’ll always do it? Absolutely not. 😂 Sometimes Smokey has more important plans—like turning “come here” into an enthusiastic game of keep-away to see if you can catch him.
He’s still polishing a few manners. Smokey can get mouthy during play when he’s excited, gets VERY enthusiastic about going through doors, and is continuing to work on his leash skills.
Recently, Smokey spent a day at daycare and absolutely impressed us! He settled nicely and was introduced to another dog, calmly sharing space, toys, water, and attention from staff. The daycare team described him as a very respectful boy. 🥹
Smokey’s relationships with other dogs can be a little complicated. He has had some wonderful interactions with certain dogs, but he hasn’t consistently enjoyed sharing his home and his people with them. Because of that, we believe Smokey would be happiest as the only pet. A home with the right compatible dog may be considered after a successful meet-and-greet.
More than anything, Smokey wants a person to call his own. He’s affectionate, loyal, goofy, and just mischievous enough to keep you laughing.
If you’re looking for a sidekick with a huge personality, an even bigger heart, and a firm belief that “catch me if you can” is a perfectly reasonable game, Smokey may be your guy. 💙
