Story
Please contact Michelle (fournier0368@hotmail.com) for more information about this pet.Hello my name is Skeeter, a nice lady found me outside and took me to the Humane Society to be spayed and ear clipped as she planned to put me back outside. While I was recovering from surgery the nice lady decided I was too sweet to have to live outside and she reached out to the rescue to find a foster. Foster mom came and picked me up, I come for attention and to be pet but prefer not to be picked up, I am shy with strangers and will need time to get to know you. I like to play but usually when others are not around, I am chatty when looking for attention. I am ok with other kitties unless they want to chase me, I don't like that. I  like bird and squirrel watching from the secure screened porch and really want to have a safe screened area at my new home.. I would be ok with another gentle kitty, I do not care for kittens or to be surprise pounced on. I am independent and would be ok as an only kitty in a stable, safe home.May 9, 2024, 11:32 pm

Story
Ginger is a young American Bobtail female. She and her brother Bobby, who look like twins, are available for adoption. Bobby is affectionate and friendly. You will find his profile on this adoption page also. Ginger is flighty but does allow petting when she is in the mood. These 2 need a special home with a human willing to spend the time to get Ginger to come around. Ginger and Bobby share more than just looks—they share a bond that transcends mere siblinghood. If you’re that special someone who believes in second chances and has time to spare, contact us. Together, we can create a haven for these two souls. Please fill out the adoption form on our website: https://www.duetteanimalrescueteam.org/online-adoption-application. Priority is given to that application. The adoption fee is a donation to our rescue, and the amount is at your discretion. Manatee, Hillsborough, Sarasota, and Pinellas counties only. Thank you for caring.

Spot has been the only pet in our family for 4 years since he was born. He has been an inside cat only. Looking for a new home that will love and care for him. Need to rehome due to help issues in family members. He is a shy pet at the beginning, but lovely and friendly when he gets comfortable around you. Playful and loves to be pet.

Story
My neighborhood had an ongoing feral cat colony I was sorting out. The little manx mama cat I was feeding had a litter of kittens in the shrubs. I was able to rehome the 3 kittens. I discovered a 4th kitten a few months later and ended up adopting her myself. A second litter of 3 was born before I could trap the mama and spay her but I did get her and 2 of the kittens. They were already 4 months old so I had no luck rehoming them. (I have 5 now n my condo which is too many) It took me over a year to lure Smokey with food and finally tame her enough to bring her in. She's absolutely beautiful. But skittish and very feisty. My manx cat from the first litter attacks her constantly and she spends her life hiding under the bed. she needs a safer, better home with someone who understands the wild nature of feral cats who have been tamed. It will break my heart but she deserves a safer, happier home. and yes, I've tried EVERYTHING to get them to get along. Looking for a cat whisperer here.
