Story
Meet Miss Bunny UPDATE: November She really does miss the other two. She is showing no signs of pain or difficulty, jumping or running. She likes to lay with me, especially in the evenings. Totally a snuggles cat. This fluffball, was found huddled soaking wet and cold in the rain at the very edge of a busy highway in Pulaski County. We surmise she hopped a ride under a car and fell out. But who knows? She can't tell us. What she does tell us is she is a loving girl who has some SPECIAL NEEDS. SPCHS is very picky about all adopters to ensure the best home for each animal in our care. But Bunny has a genetic issue with her spine, it seems there is extra space or a missing vertebra. This causes her gait to be more like a hop, but it doesn't slow her down. But she will have to be watched for deterioration and perhaps limited on big jumps. She quite possibly will need pain medication thru out her life. Nothing slows her down currently playing full out with her foster siblings Sammie and Shade. Bunny is about 16 weeks and has had vaccines and flea/tick medication and wormed. Her adoption fee includes, combo testing, spaying and micro chip for ID. If you are interested in helping Bunny with her forever home fill out the SPCHS application.

Story
Cutie Pie Moore came to the Humane Society with a horribly injured leg. It is believed that the leg was caught in a coyote trap but Cutie managed to pull loose. But in doing so the skin and fur was peeled back and all the tendons were torn and non repairable. The correct choice to allow her to heal was to amputate the leg. Surgery was successful and Cutie Pie is recovering well. She is such a sweet cat, fully of love and purrs despite the horror and pain she endured. We need a foster home and eventurally an adopter for this special survivor feline who truly adorable. Due to her limitations and fear of dogs, we prefer only homes iwth older children over 8 years old and NO dogs. Please fill out applications found at www.bhumane.org

Story
Meet Earl. He wandered out of the woods and found by his foster mom. He has been to SAH for vaccines and testing. He is a sturdy boy, gray tabby with white accents. Short haired. Seems to be a fairly laid back easy going boy. Gets along well with other cats and the small dogs in the home. Earl seems to LOVE men. Probably between 1-2 years of age.
