We are working on manners. We have taught him to sit. He is working on stay, come and to not jump. He needs a lot of attention. We just do not have the time he needs. He has been around our cats with no issues. He just wants to play and be loved.

Rose enjoyed some time in foster care this past week! Here is what her foster reported:Rose was an easy house guest. She is potty trained, crate trained, walks well on the leash, loves car rides, and is a low-maintenance dog. She doesn’t jump up onto the furniture unless invited up, and doesn`t bark excessively. All she wanted to do all day was cuddle and get belly rubs! Rose is a low-energy dog and basically the definition of a couch potato. She went on short walks around the neighborhood, and then was content spending the day sunbathing and laying by me. She would make a great dog for someone that has a slower paced lifestyle and wants a dog to lounge with. Rose also did great with new people coming into the house and walked over to the new people for pets and love! Her favorite time is meal time, and she gets all wiggly and excited for her food! While in the car, she lays down and sleeps the entire time. On walks, she doesn’t pull, but can get reactive when she sees other dogs. She does not lunge or bark (she whines and will try to walk towards them), but her reaction is best managed by putting space between her and other dogs. We think Rose would do best as the only pet in the home as of now. Rose has some scars on her from her past, but she is still the sweetest, most cuddly dog despite what caused her scars. She is waiting for someone to come and fall in love with her! Rose is 5 years old and is an American bulldog mix.
