Thankfully, the kind people at Guardians stepped up and working with the county shelter helped me get my surgery done and provided all of the general and medical I needed to be ready for my forever home!I am estimated at 1-1.5 yrs old and appear to be an American bulldog mix. I am about 65Lbs right now and could still grow a little more. I am very energetic and active, so really looking for an active family who maybe likes the outdoors as much as I do! My rescue thinks I'll do better with older vs younger children simply due to my size and energy. I know how to walk well on leash, but a very strong boy. I’ve been okay around other dogs here at the rescue, so I think I would like a fur sibling? We got Dixie or my son when he was going through depression. We have had her since she was eight weeks old. My son has been living with us with mental conditions and recently went to prison. I have rheumatoid arthritis, fibromyalgia, and osteoarthritis, and cannot care for her. She is very sweet! She does have seasonal allergies so she needs Apoquel when pollen comes around. She's potty trained and calm. This is a very difficult decision that I am having to make, but I feel terrible for her always having her in a cage. She loves stuffed animals and was used to sleeping in my son‘s bed. But I cannot let her get in my bed because of my health conditions and pain I have all over my body. Her name is Dixie. I need to find her a home as soon as possible. She is 7-8 years old I cannot remember.
