Story
Meet Hopsin — your future adventure buddy and loyal sidekick. If you’re looking for a dog with presence, personality, and a whole lot of heart, Hopsin is ready to step into your life and make an impression. This striking, all-white boy turns heads wherever he goes — but it’s his spirit that really stands out. Hopsin is alert, energetic, and always ready for action. Whether it’s a brisk walk, a backyard play session, or learning something new, he thrives when he has a job to do and a person to bond with. He’s strong on the leash, so he’ll do best with someone who can match his energy and help guide him into becoming the best version of himself. The good news? He’s already off to a great start. Hopsin knows sit, down, and paw, and he’s highly food motivated, which makes training both fun and effective. With consistency and positive reinforcement, this smart boy is eager to keep learning and impressing. But beneath that athletic build and lively energy is a dog who’s looking for connection. Hopsin isn’t just about movement — he’s about loyalty, companionship, and being your ride-or-die partner. Ideal home: • Active individual or family • Someone comfortable handling a strong dog • A home that can provide structure, exercise, and continued training If you’re ready for a dog who will keep up with your pace, challenge you in the best ways, and reward you with unwavering devotion, Hopsin is ready to meet you. Give him a chance — he might just be the missing piece you didn’t know you were looking for. Story
Meet Bella, an 8-year-old American Bully with a heart as big as her adorable, squishy smile. At 75 pounds, Bella is carrying a few extra pounds right now, but she’s already embracing a healthier lifestyle with daily walks and a little portion control. She’s ready to find a family who will cheer her on as she continues her wellness journey. Bella’s favorite place to be is wherever her people are. She’s the kind of loyal companion who will quietly lay nearby while you work from home, keep you company during a movie night, or happily tag along for a car ride. She loves walks, time in the yard, toys, and settling in with a good chew bone. At bedtime, she’s happiest curled up close and sleeping with her foster mom. This sweet girl has a gentle, sensitive soul. New people and unfamiliar sights or sounds can make her a little nervous at first. A crinkly bag, a strange object, or an unexpected noise might give her pause, but Bella is already becoming more confident each day in her foster home. With patience, kindness, and reassurance, she blossoms into a loving and trusting companion. Bella is house-trained and has wonderful manners in the home. Her foster mom does not use a crate, and when left alone, she relaxes quietly in a gated area without bothering any belongings. While Bella has not been introduced to other dogs in her foster home yet, she has shown calm curiosity toward dogs she sees on walks. We were told she has done well with children in the past, though she has not yet been around children while in our care. Bella isn’t looking for a life full of chaos or excitement. She’s looking for a soft place to land, a gentle hand to reassure her, and someone who will appreciate the quiet companionship of a dog who simply wants to love and be loved. If you’re searching for a sweet, loyal shadow to share your days with, Bella just might be your perfect match. Her minimum adoption fee is $200 plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents. Story
Meet Marnie! Looking for a best friend who wants to be part of everything you do? Marnie is ready to apply for the job. Marnie is the definition of a little sidekick. Her favorite place is wherever her people are, happily following along from room to room just to be close. She's an excellent work-from-home assistant, a dedicated laundry supervisor, and an enthusiastic kitchen helper—always content to watch the action before curling up nearby for a well-earned nap. She has a wonderfully sweet, gentle personality and is happiest simply spending time with her family. When her favorite person isn't available, she's just as happy to hang out with another member of the household, proving that her heart has plenty of love to share. Marnie gets along well with other dogs and has already shown an interest in making new friends, inviting a neighbor's puppy to play through the fence. She enjoys stuffies, balls, and is beginning to show the playful, outgoing personality that's waiting to blossom. She's eager to please and would love a family that will continue helping her learn all the important puppy things. At bedtime, Marnie settles nicely into her crate after a brief campaign to convince everyone she'd make an excellent bed-sharing companion. She's also making wonderful progress with house training and is catching on quickly. Marnie isn't looking for anything fancy. She just wants a family to love, a few toys to carry around, and a place by your side. If you've been hoping for a loyal companion who will happily join you in all of life's everyday moments, Marnie may be the perfect addition to your family. Story
Hi, it's me Winnie Da Pooh! I am ready to find my forever home! I'm a petite little girl who loves to run and chase rabbits! My foster family tell me I'm a real snug bug! I get along great with dogs. My fur foster brother loves to snuggle with me! I am totally fine with that but I'm not one to wrestle like he wants to. It took me awhile to warm up to my foster dad. He was very patient with me and now we are best buddies. Foster mom thinks some man may have done something not very nice to me. I like car rides and I am not afraid of the vacuum. I do get startled easily so I don't think I would be a good match with a young family. My canines kinda stick out and it seems I'm nibbling cause they get in the way. I'm also not too sure about new people coming into the house. Next time someone comes by, I'm going to go outside and meet them and then we'll come in together. Hopefully they bring me a treat! I love treats!! I'm not food or toy aggressive either. I'm totally potty trained too!! I'm really a very good girl; I just have those few quirks. We all can't be perfect but I'm pretty close!

Story
Grey had a rough start to life and came to IEBR when she was 5 months old. Grey is now 2 yrs old. Grey was born with spina bifida, a congenital defect of the spinal cord. As a result, she has some weakness in her hind limbs and is a fully incontinent diaper girl. Grey has the sweetest disposition and loves all people after her initial stranger danger warning. Over time Grey’s personality showed us that she really didn’t’ care for any other fur siblings in or around her people ( or any people within her eye sight really). She’s jealous with just the thought that another fur might get the persons attention and for this reason Grey would do best in a family that has no other animal. It’s a tough one because if she isnt’ in the jealous mood she will even toss her toy at the cat to try and engage play but it’s too risky as she is unpredictable in her behavior around other pets when there is a human nearby. She loves a comfy couch but is content in her dog bed . Grey does have a ball obsession and has her favorite ball of the month, she will beg you to play catch with her and it’s a toss up if she will give you the ball to throw or hold it for you to stare at it in awe. Grey has three modes: sacked out and snoring, sweet and cuddly, and up and ready to play and won’t leave you alone until you throw her ball at least a few times. Her puppy energy comes out in little bursts throughout the day and she gets restless without daily exercise, so play time and/or daily short walks are a must. The rest of the time she is happy to nap. Grey is an “alerter”, and gives a bark when she hears something out of the ordinary or a knock at the door. Her ideal living situation would be a home with few stairs (she can climb stairs but it’s not easy for her and going down more than 1-2 steps she will drop her hips and drag herself down). Maintenance includes normal bulldog stuff like cleaning face wrinkles and ears and administering eye ointment for her mild entropian ( vet suggested no surgery as long as drops work but if gets worse or if she has surgery for something else to address at that time) . Grey requires diaper changes every 4-5 hours during the day. Her skin is prone to irritation, so it's important that she has daily diaper-free “naked time” to allow her skin to breathe and air out and help prevent uti’s. Currently Grey is not crated at all and gets her daily air time while ball playing outside and laying around outside relaxing while her person is piddling around in the yard. Grey would like her future family to know that bathtime is the BEST time and she has no problems getting in for either a quick butt wash or full on bath/shower. She lives every day like it’s Tongue Out Tuesday and greets every morning like it’s the Best Day Ever. What more could you wish for? This sweet, sensitive, smart, funny girl will be a loyal and loving member of a lucky forever family! Grey has been waiting a long time with us to find her family, if you think it’s you please submit your adoption application! If you are interested in Grey please visit our website: www.ilenglishbulldogrescue.org, and read through our adoption criteria to see if you meet our requirements. If you do, please fill out an application to adopt. Greys's adoption fee is $550.00 Visit us on Facebook: Visit us on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/IllinoisEnglishBulldogRescue
