Story
Rupert is an adorable 1 year old mixed breed. We are actually awaiting a DNA to.come back to tell.us his breeds. What we can tell you is he has a lot of puppy energy still, and needs an active family. He does seem to get along with other dogs, but we would want a meet and greet first. Rupert is a low riding, fun loving guy!  If you want to make Rupert a part of your family, fill out an application at www.barktownrescue.org  RUPERT'S ADOPTION FEE IS $175The shelter software system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of our dogs we are only guessing at the dog's predominant breed or breed mix. We strongly encourage you to select your new pet by looking at each dog's individual personality and pet qualities rather than relying on a breed label that is only our best guess.    Our adoption fees vary from $150 and up.  All of our dogs are up to date on vaccines, heart worm preventives, and flea/tick medication, and will be spayed/neutered prior to adoption.
