Adoptable Thora, Female, 3yrs, American Bulldog/ Presa Canario, 85lbs *** in home breed type experience only *** *** special dietary/ supplement needs *** Thora is an amazing girl and will make someone a loyal and loving companion. Thora had trouble adapting to her original home and had been turned over to rescue in 2020. After much structure based work, she has turned into an exceptional dog. She is crate trained and thrives in pleasing her humans and has been doing very well in her basic obedience. Thora has an extremely sensitive stomach and requires specific food and supplements to keep her balanced. She is crate trained and has decent house manners. With proper introductions, Thora is good with other dogs, cats and older kids. Note: Though Thora loves to run, play and swim, she is a bit limited. When the previous owners attempted to re-home her, there had been cohabitation issues with another dog in the home. During an altercation Thora's front leg had been pretty tore up and she now has extensive scaring on one of her joints, that can cause her some discomfort/ limping. Though this doesn't slow her down, long hikes and runs would not be an option. Thora is a local Saint Louis, Mo area adoption. Her adoption fee is $250, she is up to date and fully vetted. 🛑Foster Needed🛑 I was found dumped outside with only a bed and a bag of food. I didn’t run—I walked up to people, hoping someone would help me. ❤️My heart is very sick. I’m severely heartworm positive with an enlarged heart. I can’t be neutered yet because treatment comes first. Right now, all I’m allowed to do is stay calm and rest. ❤️‍🩹I desperately need a quiet foster home to survive treatment. The rescue pays for everything—vet care, meds, food, toys. I just need a safe couch and a lots of love. 🐶I do well with other dogs, can’t live with cats, and find comfort in toys (even if I get a little carried away). Please don’t let me heal alone. He knew that if he got himself to safety the right people were going to find him and, boy, did he get lucky! Forrest was picked up by a rescuer and brought to the vet for attention. He now has a wheel chair and can cruise all over the place!
