New Year’s 2018, there was a loose dog spotted in the neighborhood. Folks reported he’d follow them on their walks. He found me when it was 0 degrees and dark. My old dog approved, so I took the fella in for the night. I had no idea he'd still be with me five years later. Without finding a rescue to take him, what was meant to be a foster became my companion & dog-child. Meet Porky. 7 years old and 65 pounds. He loves to run, roll in (and chew) grass, and play with dogs. He's helped me foster and home five dogs over the years. He's been a lot more timid since his last buddy was rehomed in 2021. During this time, too, I experienced a job loss and the home hasn't been the same ever since. He is goofy & a free spirit who wants to love and be loved. An escape artist/jumper. Enjoys learning new things. Ideal owner will be active, patient, and consistent with him. Ideal home is cat free, with a dog and has space to run (privacy fence/recall training needed). Boris loves to play with his foster siblings and couldn’t care less about the foster house cat- not even curious. Boris is doing great on leash walks and is crate trained. Potty training still needs work as he does forget when he’s busy playing. He has started to learn some basic commands and would probably do just about anything for delicious treats!

This beautiful freckle-faced girl is Tasha. Don’t let her serious eyes fool you, this girl loves to play! Tasha has an independent streak, likes to explore, but when she’s done she’s looking for some snuggles and kisses. She plays well with her foster siblings and tries to play with the cat, but he’s not interested. Tasha is crate trained and started leash walking, it’s not her favorite thing yet. Potty training still needs some work, as she forgets when she’s playing. Tasha is a chatty girl, loves to talk to you and will even listen with sweet head tilts when you talk to her. My Penny girl is officially up for adoption through Legacy of Hope Dog Rescue. She has age appropriate vaccines, and spayed, as of yesterday. She’s 3 months old, born on 02/11/2023. She is everything puppies are made of: sassy, loving, spunky, cuddly, great with other dogs (we haven’t really been around cats full on) & I’m honestly not sure about kiddos, but I think with her being so young they’d be besties (eventually) and she’s always hungry (she’s a growing girl 😂). She does hate her kennel, she goes in it every day while I’m at work, but yet, she is still not a fan. That would have to be worked on. Yes, I have spoiled her a bit. How could I not? She’s so cute. 😍 Puppies are hard. Really hard, but this has also, been rewarding & something I’ve wanted to do for a long time. So, here’s to hoping she gets the best home ever and now, I’m gonna go cry.

Mr. Manicotti aka Manny is officially up for adoption . He has age appropriate vaccines, was neutered and his hernia was fixed as of yesterday. He’s 3 months old, born on 02/11/2023. He is a playful, sweet & smart little guy. He enjoys being outside and playing with the other dogs at my house. We have a cat and he doesn’t mind her at all. He doesnt mind his kennel, he goes in it every day while I’m at work. He is also potty trained, he rings the bells on my back door and will sit until I open the door for him to go outside. He loves to chew so I make sure he always has plenty of toys available. I love him a lot and it will be an adjustment once he leaves our home, but he needs a family of his own. Heeler American bulldog mix, he will likely be 60+ lbs as an adult.
