Story
Diamond has been with us 2 years, and in those years only 1 application that was not a match has come in. This girl is a firecracker and super high energy, but she's got the sweetest side. She makes us laugh daily and we wouldn't change a thing about her! Diamond's adoption has been donated by an amazing sponsor. All we want is to find her a loving family and home. https://form.jotform.com/213266369147057 Or you can reach out to myself Jen@fightagainstbreedracism.com or Kari, Kari@fightagainstbreedracism.com for any questions you may have. Name: Diamond Breed: American Bulldog X Weight: 47.50 lbs Gender: Spayed/Female Age: 4 years old Energy Level: Medium to High Medical: UTD Good with dogs: Selective. Social outside but don't think indoors she'd do good in a home with another dog. Unless someone was experiencing and took the time it takes to work with her. She does love to play with her rescue friends. Good with cats: No has a high prey drive for all small animals Good with kids: No young children due to her energy. Good with strangers: yes gets overly excited Guarding issues: None that have been seen Behavioural issues: can have separation anxiety in new environments. And will be destructive if left alone too long. House trained: Yes Crate trained: Yes Leash skills: still a working progress, but has come a long way since she first came to us. Pulls a lot and will try to go after small animals if she sees them. Will need someone that can control/handle her. Walks way better with a martingale. Okay with manipulations: Yes, always willing to please. Notes: Diamond is a very sweet, affectionate girl who is eager to please. She has shown to be food motivated which is a bonus for training. Diamond gets very overstimulated and excited fast. She will jump up and grab at you or the leash but she listens if you are firm with her. Diamond is your perfect companion if your looking for a dog who can keep up with an active lifestyle!

Story
Available for Adoption! Cookie was pulled from a shelter in mid-March, where she found herself at risk due to overcrowding. With her being a black dog and high energy/dog reactive, she didn’t have a fighting chance where she was. We are so grateful a wonderful woman came forward to foster her, and offered to take her into her board and train facility, to work on her manners and to get her prepared for being a family dog! Cookie has shown how resilient she is, and is proving every single day that she is so deserving of this second chance! Name: Cookie Crunch Location of dog: Minden, Ontario Breed: American Bulldog mix Weight: 60lbs Gender: Female Spayed/Neutered: Yes Age: 2 years Energy Level: Medium to High Medical (shots etc): UTD Microchipped: Yes Good with dogs: Selective, would do well with a larger balanced dog Good with cats: No, prey drive is far too high Good with kids: Older kids (14+ recommended), just due to size and lack of manners Good with strangers: Yes, loves everyone, but can be vocal if someone she doesn’t know approaches her kennel. Inital Meetings should be outside of her space. Walk her or throw a ball and she will be your best friend for life Guarding ssues: None noted House Trained: Yes Crate Trained: Yes Destructive: She is still very puppy like and currently should be crated or tethered when unattended. Leash skills: Good, working on better! She was a huge puller but has come along already, and is working on her “loose leash” manners Okay with manipulations: Yes Known commands: Sit, Down, Focus, Place and to walk on a loose leash – she is currently working on stay, come and manners when going in and out of doorways Behavior Issues:. She would do best as an only pet or with a larger balanced dog, that can show Cookie how to be the best dog she can be. She can be reactive towards other dogs, at fences and on leash. But since being with her foster, she has seen very minimal of this behavior; as long as her mental and physical needs are met, she is very easily redirected. She is highly food motivated which certainly aids in the training Medical issues: None Other Observations: From Cookies Foster: This loveable firecracker is the life of the party, no matter what time of the day she will keep her humans and even herself entertained. Shes a smart cookie who knows sit, down, focus, place and to walk on a loose leash. Things she’s currently working on are stay, come and manners when going in and out of doorways. Cookie would do best with someone who can keep her on a consistent routine and can continue working on her training. She is crate trained and does love to go in her crate, she content staying in it during the day and at night with a frozen bone or nylabone to chew on. I wouldn’t recommend she have unattended free range just quite yet, rules and boundaries will be essential to cookie thriving in a home setting. Cookie has done exceptionally well at board and train and is consistently exceeding my expectations. Shes quick to learn and thoroughly enjoys her training sessions. Cookie is an amazing girl who I promise, will make you laugh daily. She LOVES to play, and she has recently caught on to bringing her ball back to you for another toss, She also loves to play tug but if you want to pull up a chair she’s happy to entertain herself as well! A typical day for cookie at board and train is she’s walked in the morning for about 30min and then we come in for 10-15min of training exercises. She willingly goes down in her crate with a stuffed frozen Kong or bone till midafternoon, and then we usually play some ball in the yard and practice some obedience while playing. Before bed me and cookie have nightly party! She will choose her favorite squeaky toy, and you can engage with her or just sit back, laugh and watch the party happen! She will play and her hearts content out! Cookie will then come to you for a snuggle sesh, she loves coming up close to lean on you or will even try and lay on you for cuddles lol you will receive lots of face kisses before she’s off to bed! If you’re looking for a playful, loving, athletic dog this is your girl! Previously from Shelter: Cookie Crunch radiates a contagious joy that brightens even the gloomiest of days. She was picked up as a stray and never claimed, and now is needed out of the stressful shelter environment. For reasons known only to her, she is not particularly fond of other dogs. While she may not be the life of the dog park party, she compensates with an unparalleled loyalty to her human pack. She absolutely melts into you when you show her the slightest bit of attention, and will lean on you with her full body weight while covering you in kisses to show you just how much she appreciates it! Story
Available for Adoption! Name: Crepe Breed: Bulldog mix Location: Toronto, Ontario Weight: 30lbs Gender: Female Spayed/Neutered: Yes Age: 8 months Energy Level: Med energy Medical (shots etc.): UTD on all Microchipped: Yes Good with dogs: Yes, Crepe does well with all dogs. Still no dog parks please! Good with cats: Yes! She was very sweet with the cats during the testing portion. Good with kids: Yes. She can be very shy at first so older, dog savvy kids are recommended just so that she can be her most comfortable. Loud/fast movements made towards her are still scary and she will try to retreat/run away. Good with strangers: Yes, she is great with everyone, although can be initially shy with strangers she warms up quickly and will shower her people with kisses! Guarding Issues: None noted. Tested for resource guarding and passed with flying colors. House Trained: No, but keeps her kennel fairly clean. With consistency house training will be no problem for this little one! Crate Trained: Yes, her kennel is her safe space so with consistency this will easily carry over to a crate. Destructive: Uknown but would not surprise me since she is still just a puppy. She should be crated or in a dog proof room until it can be determined how she would do left alone. Leash skills: She is very scared of the outside world as she has not had much socialization at all and this transfers over to her leash skills. She is frightened by loud noises (traffic, people, etc.) so double leashing is paramount as she will try to back out and run. Once she builds some confidence, we are sure leash walking will follow but it will take baby steps. Okay with manipulations: Yes! Can touch her everywhere, especially once she gets to know you. Strangers she will allow touch but she will try to retreat at first until she knows you are a safe person. Known commands: Sit is all this girl knows Behavior Issues: None, just needs confidence building Medical issues: None Other Observations Crepe was seized by AWS in September with her siblings just as wee pups; they grew up in a shelter environment and weren’t available to find forever homes until January. Since then, Crepe’s siblings have been adopted, but she sadly has had barely any interest. She is a little shy and reserved at first, but comes around fairly quick. Available for Adoption! Name: Ryan Breed: Bulldog mix Weight: 57lbs Gender: Male Spayed/Neutered: Yes Age: 1-2 years Energy Level: Med energy Medical (shots etc): UTD on all Microchipped: Yes Good with dogs: Yes! Ryan seems to love every dog he meets. Good with cats: No, he has very high prey drive Good with kids: Yes! He would do well with respectful children who are a little bit older as the hustle and bustle of toddler aged children may be a bit too much for him right now. Good with strangers: Ryan can be a little bit shy at first and will lean against his familiar person for support, given a few minutes he warms up very quickly! Guarding Issues: None noted, we are able to remove her food/toys with no issues. It should be noted that Ryan was emaciated (severely malnourished) upon intake and he will quite literally inhale his food. Feeding him in a slow feeder bowl would be best to start until he understands that meals are a consistent part of his life now. House Trained: No but he keeps his kennel very clean so with consistency house training will be a breeze! Crate Trained: No. Ryan is extremely food motivated as well so this will certainly aid in crate training until he is ready to be left alone in the home. Destructive: Uknown. Ryan has never chewed anything that he shouldn't but has been given minimal opportunities to do so in a shelter setting. Caution should be taken until he can be trusted to get into anything he shouldnt! Leash skills: Ryan does not have any leash skills under his belt. He came from a hoarding situation and has not been taught a thing! Thankfully he is very food motivated which will aid in helping him learn any new skills including leash walking. Okay with manipulations: Yes, you can touch him everywhere. Known commands: None Behaviour Issues: None! Medical issues: None Other Observations: Despite a rocky start, Ryan is an absolute sweetheart who craves human connection and companionship. This little one may be a bit under-socialized, but with the right guidance and love, he is sure to blossom into the perfect canine companion. Life with Ryan promises to be filled with laughter, cuddles, and the undeniable charm that only he can bring. As you consider opening your heart and home to this lovable ball of fur, remember that the journey of training and socialization will not only shape Ryan's future but will also create a bond that will last a lifetime. He also has the most EPIC wiggly bum which he will greet you with everyday when you come home from work- what could be better than that! Story
Molly is a 2 year old, bulldog mix pup who has had a good life so far. Her humans are working too much and would like to find her a place with some more free time. Molly has level one training for dog classes, and continues to show improvement everyday. She is jumpy, but still learning to not jump up. She walks the best in a halter, stops on all corners when walking for safety and is good with her recalls. She is very food motivated, as long as there treats she will do anything you ask and is willing to please. She is crate trained, she sleeps in her crate by herself at night time she likes to have a blanket in her crate or a bed. Molly is guarded meeting new people at first, but quickly warms up to anyone. She loves kids, but would recommend no young kids as she loves to play and will jump. Molly is okay with other dogs, but would be best in a home with no other pets. She plays rough with other dogs, so would recommend no smaller dogs. She does not get along with cats. She is a fun loving, energetic, cuddle bug who loves to snuggle up on the couch or in her little doggy bed. Molly loves to go for walks on the trails, loves playing fetch or tug. Loves having her chest, and cute, freckled belly rubbed all day long. She is an avid squirrel watcher, and loves to come fishing when we go. Loves a kiddy pool, in the summertime, can’t keep her out of it long enough she would splash and lay in it all day if allowed! Molly is in great health. She has been spayed and is UTD with vaccines. She has also been taking Nexgard monthly. Her adoption fee is $600. If you or anyone you know is interested in adopting her, please fill out the application.
