Hi there - I'm Tyson! I may look tough with my big Bulldog smile and squishable jowlies (go ahead, I know you want to smush them!), but underneath it all, I'm a total sweetheart! I came to the shelter as a stray a while back, and somehow, I've ended up being one of the "long-term residents." I don't really get it! I've got two different-colored eyes, a heart full of love, and a personality that's ready to make you laugh every single day! I'll admit, I don't always make the best first impression when I'm in my kennel. It's just a little overwhelming in there, and I get excited when people walk by! But once you take me outside, you'll see the real me - the goofy, playful, snuggle-loving Tyson who just wants to hang out, chase a ball, and get belly rubs! I get along well with respectful kiddos and mellow dog friends, and I'm happiest when I'm part of the action, whether that's a walk around the neighborhood, a movie night on the couch, or a good old-fashioned play session. A home without cats is needed, as she’s definitely not a fan. Because of her enthusiasm and sturdy build, older kids would be best — she might accidentally knock over little ones in all her excitement.Jewel goes into her kennel with a little encouragement and settles quickly. With a consistent schedule, she’s been mastering potty training and is currently learning “sit,” “leave it,” and “stay.” Like many bulldog breeds, she can be a bit stubborn, so patience and consistent training will help her grow into the best girl ever.She’s working on house manners and making improvements every day. Jewel loves chewing on bones, playing with rope toys, snuggling in for naps, and hopping in the car for a good adventure.
