Story
Meet André — the ultimate lovebug with Olympic-level hops 🤍 This sweet, friendly, and incredibly snuggly Lynx point short hair American Curl was found wandering alone in a wooded neighborhood in Paso Robles. A kind resident started feeding him and searching for his family, but no one came forward. As a white cat outdoors, André was in danger, so he was brought into foster care while we continued to look for his owner — again with no luck. André is now neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines. In his foster home, André has truly blossomed. He absolutely loves having cat friends and gets along beautifully with everyone — from playful kittens to laid-back adults. He’s gentle, social, and always happy to be part of the action. In the evenings, you’ll find him lounging on the couch watching TV with his people, happily soaking up pets. He’s also a bit of a “flopper,” so watch your step! Oh — and did we mention he has an incredible vertical leap? Don’t be surprised if you spot him on top of the kitchen cabinets. If you’re looking for a affectionate, easygoing, and fun-loving companion who thrives with other cats and people alike, André might be your perfect match. 🐾 Breed notes: The “curl” in American Curl refers to the cats’ most standout trait: ears that curl backward toward their head. They are known for being people-oriented, and get along well with children and other pets. The fact that they remain so playful well into adulthood can be a surprising quirk to some pet parents. Interactive play sessions and lots of appropriate surfaces to climb and scratch, like cat trees, shelving, and scratching posts, help keep these energetic cats satisfied—and out of mischief. While their curled ears are not associated with any genetic health conditions and the breed is relatively healthy, American Curls are prone to more ear infections than other cats.
