Story
This little guy was found in pretty bad shape in a nursery in Miami. He was hit by a car and has multiple fractures. His front leg could not be saved and had to be amputated. He is doing well recovering. We believe he is about 8/9 years old. Full story from our volunteer. &#226&#172&#135&#239&#184&#143&#226&#172&#135&#239&#184&#143&#226&#172&#135&#239&#184&#143 Your at a large garden center looking around.  All of a sudden you see a small tan Chihuahua &#239&#191&#188sitting on a pile of dirty towels, shaking so badly.  You go talk to one of the employees to find out why he’s sitting there.  You find out that he was hit by a truck two and a half weeks ago.  When asked who’s dog it is and why no medical attention has been given. The answer is “it’s no one’s dog, he just roams around we just put him on the towels to make him comfortable “ So when someone tells you all this after they left the dog there.  Now what do you do? Do you tell her to go back and let the owner know “this poor guy needs medical attention”? Or do you tell her to ask the owner of the business if it’s okay to take him, even though you know you can’t afford to take care of him.  Well I’m sure you all know the answer.  Then when you get him you notice he can’t bend his front left leg or even put it down. Then you see him limping on his back left leg.  After a visit to the vet for X-rays and blood work.  You find out he has fractures on front and back legs, and that his front elbow joint is crushed.  It stays bent because for the two and a half weeks that’s the position the bone has started to fuse.  He also has a cornea inclusion on his left eye which does not effect him at all and his been seen by the eye specialist.   Naia's Pet Rescue (954) 947-PETS @naiaspetrescue  To become a Foster https://naiasrescue.org/foster-application &#226&#150&#170&#239&#184&#143All donations are tax deductible&#226&#150&#170&#239&#184&#143 • Venmo: @NAIAs-PetRescue • Paypal: Naiaspetrescue@gmail.com • Our website: https://naiasrescue.org/donate/ if interested in adopting, please apply at https://naiasrescue.org/adoption-application/  May 9, 2024, 12:07 am
