Story
Stevie, named after Stevie Wonder, is a super snuggly, 7-year-old cuddle bug. He is a blind chipom. He is super smart and if you did not know he was blind you might not believe it! He finds his way around his foster home easily, and always seems to know if you are heading to the sofa and beats you there! His absolute favorite thing in the world is snuggling. He plays with the other smaller foster puppy, but his main goal in life is to be the absolute best cuddlebug! Because he is blind he prefers smaller or calmer dogs. Story
Chico I know there are a lot of Chihuahuas you could choose, here’s why you should choose me: My name is Chico and I’m told that my personality is as big as my ears. Do you have an available lap? I’d like to fill it. I will wait for you to invite me—I have good manners. I need to snuggle a lot, do you? I really like meeting people and convincing them that I can fill that lap. Snuggling is just the best, isn’t it? I have lots of dog friends, but between us, I would rather hang with you. I think you are amazing. I don’t bark much, unless there is a delivery. Deliveries are so exciting! I’m house trained, duh. That was easy. I will happily go out on a leash walk, but I’d rather stay home. Home is safe. If we go out, I’m gonna need to protect you from, well everything basically, because you are very important to me. Don’t you worry, I’ll bark like I’m really big and scare bad guys away. They won’t even notice that there is no bite to my bark. I already had my icky teeth removed. That’s why my tongue flops out a bit. Cute, huh? Story
Don't be fooled by my age, I am very active! I love being the center of attention, except when I eat. I prefer to eat alone. I have a very healthy appetite. I do make frequent trips to potty but I may have an accident if left too long. I love snuggling, and am most calm when cuddled up next to (or on top of) a warm, caring person. I will keep you company, whether you're doing chores, or relaxing. I will always make sure you're ok. Although I would love to sleep cuddled up next to you, I am also good at sleeping in a crate at night. I barely bark, but when I do I promise, there's no bite on account of me missing most of my teeth. If you're looking for some company, I'm the perfect dog for you.For more info email adopt@animalrescueneworleans.org________________________________________________If you would like to meet one of our adoptables or learn more about them, please submit an application at https://animalrescueneworleans.org/adoptfoster/.**Note: Our shelter is open by scheduled appointment with an approved application.
