Story
Meet Katie B! This adorable girl has already come such a long way and continues to make progress every single day. While she may be shy at first, underneath that timid exterior is a sweet dog who truly wants to please and is learning how wonderful life with people can be. Katie B settles down nicely in her kennel or will quietly find a cozy place to relax. She is still learning how to walk on a leash and doesn’t fully understand commands yet, but her house manners are coming along very well. She’s the kind of dog who learns best with patience, consistency, and gentle encouragement. Katie B gets along well with other dogs and has shown no negative reactions to cats. Children should be fine for her as long as they understand to give her space and allow her to come to them on her own terms. She can be nervous about cuddling at first, but she has made incredible progress. Once she settles onto your lap, she relaxes and truly enjoys attention and gentle petting. She does tend to “start over” with new people and needs a little time to feel safe again, but she warms up faster as her confidence grows. Right now, Katie B is still learning how to play and discover what it means to simply be a dog. Watching her progress has been incredibly rewarding, and her little victories make her even more special. She came to us on the higher end of the semi-feral scale, but with patience and love she has already made tremendous strides and is now much more comfortable with people. Katie B will thrive in a calm, low-energy home with a patient, dog-savvy family willing to continue helping her build confidence. The family lucky enough to earn her trust will gain an incredibly rewarding companion and watch a beautiful transformation unfold.

Story
Meet Benny! This handsome guy is full of personality, love, and goofy charm. Benny enjoys life to the fullest and is happiest when he’s spending time with his people, playing with his dog friends, or chasing after a ball. He’s a fun-loving boy with a sweet side that shines once he settles in. Benny is generally a pretty chill dog who settles down nicely after his initial excitement wears off. When meeting new people, he can come in enthusiastic and eager for attention, but after a few minutes he relaxes and turns into a snuggly companion who loves being close to his humans. He’s very loving, attention-driven, and incredibly gentle when taking treats. He walks well using a command collar and enjoys toys, balls, and chasing fast-moving objects. Benny does best with medium to smaller dogs and enjoys having dog friends to play with. Around larger dogs, he can be reactive during first introductions, but once he feels comfortable, he mellows out well. Because cats tend to overstimulate him, he is looking for a cat-free home. Benny would do best in a dog-savvy, lower-energy household that can help him continue learning how to manage excitement and overstimulation. While he’s a wonderful dog, he can occasionally become overstimulated and may need some structure and guidance, something we’re happy to help his future family with. Due to his exuberant personality, he would do best with children over 12 years old at this time. Benny is a cute, loving boy with a huge heart, and for the right family, he’s going to make an incredibly loyal and entertaining companion.

Story
Meet Roxy! ❤️ Roxy is a sweet and slightly shy little girl who is sure to steal your heart. She loves toys, treats, and canned food (though she'll happily munch on kibble too!). One of her favorite things is being carried around so she can shower you with kisses; the more, the better! Roxy is doing great with her potty training and has had very few accidents in her crate. With a consistent routine and a little patience, she'll have it mastered in no time. When meeting new people, Roxy may be a bit bashful at first. She has playful habits and will make for a great companion. With her stunning tricolor coat, soulful brown eyes, and affectionate personality, Roxy is as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside. She’s ready to find a family to love her forever!
