Meet Basil! This handsome fellow is a friendly, affectionate cat who’s spent most of his life as a solo explorer. He’s wonderfully social with people and settles in quickly with gentle attention. And listen closely, his purr is an absolute engine, louder than any cat I’ve ever met, without being noisy or demanding. Basil may thrive in a calm home where he can be the star of the show or be introduced slowly to other pets. He’s got a beautiful balance of playful energy and relaxed, laid-back charm. He’s comfortable being handled, enjoys affection, and often lets you know when it’s time for a cuddle. He showed up in my yard as a kitten about three years ago and never left, no owners found, so he became my roommate. Basil eats dry cat food, ignores human food, enjoys sardines as a treat, and is happy and healthy. A practically new automatic litter box, automatic feeder and water fountain, and toys come along to help him settle right in.
