Roxie has had a rough start in life, but she’s a sweet and resilient kitty looking for a quiet, understanding forever home. For months, she lived in a small shelter cage in a room full of barking dogs. This stressful environment has made Roxie very sensitive to loud noises and sudden movements. Roxie needs to be the only pet in a calm household. She might be okay with another animal only if they are exceptionally calm and independent, ensuring they won’t pose any threat to her. Preferably no children, unless very gentle and good with animals. This lovable girl is wobbly and has mobility challenges, meaning she can’t jump or run quickly. When she’s startled, she may flop around and occasionally have accidents. Roxie requires her bladder to be expressed twice a day—once in the morning and once in the evening. Don’t worry, she’s very easy to express. Roxie does have some cognitive deficits, and we have a neurology appointment scheduled to learn more about her condition. Despite these challenges, she’s incredibly sweet and can thrive in the right setting. She enjoys sitting under her foster dad’s desk on a blanket and adores his company. She also loves her food and will often sit by her bowl, staring contentedly. Roxie loves to accumulate mouse toys near her blanket, showing she has a playful side. She appreciates pets and attention and may open up even more in a peaceful, small space. Roxie is perfect for someone who understands and is open to caring for a truly special needs animal. She deserves a loving home where she can feel safe and cherished. If you have a quiet home and a big heart, Roxie could be the perfect companion for you. Are you the special person who can give Roxie the loving home she deserves? Please fill out our adoption application if interested in Roxie https://www.operationliberation.org/adoption-application

Simon is a handsome young adult declawed cat who has endured more changes than any cat should have to experience.   His first three adoptions resulted in his being returned because he hid from the new families.  Nothing or no one could coax him from his hiding place.  He was shy and scared each time so, sadly, he was returned.    His fourth adoption resulted in something beautiful happening.  The new owner simply waited patiently until Simon felt enough at ease to venture forth.  He made sure he was available to Simon by allowing him to see and hear him and Simon began relaxing, grooming himself and sleeping on the bed.  His trust grew and he was on his way to settling in.  But, sadly, the owner developed allergies and, although he was willing to try allergy meds and special food for Simon, he was advised to return him by his doctor.   Simon is now back at the shelter, once again hiding and feeling betrayed.  The human he was just beginning to trust and open up to was gone and he is alone again.    Simon badly needs his own human.  Someone who will be patient, gentle and loving.  Someone who can offer him a quiet home, a calm home and consistency in his surroundings. His lonely little heart yearns and he needs his very own person - someone he can depend upon and trust and to whom he can freely give his love.   Could you be that person?  Someone who could give this sad, sweet cat the happiness he so deserves and yearns for so much?  Please give him the chance to finally find his happily ever after. W e encourage you to file an online application for this or any of our pets by clicking HERE or by going to www.animal-aid.com for a Pet Adoption Application.  Please include the name of the cat(s) or kitten(s). Meet Coco, a two year old exotic short hair with a sweet and gentle personality. He loves other cats and enjoys playtime with his feline friends. Coco can be a little shy at first, but once he feels comfortable, his affectionate side shines through. He loves attention, enjoys being pet, and will happily soak up all the love you have to give. Coco would do best in a quiet home and is not a fan of dogs. Like so many pure breeds, Coco has a heart murmur requiring a pill weekly. Surgery is not indicated. He is insured through Pumpkin pet insurance and we will transfer that to any adopter, but any adopter will need to continue to pay the premium. All kittens under 4 months old must be adopted in pairs unless the adopter already has another cat at home.

I found sushi outside an office park. She was abandoned by her mom at several days old. She has been with me for 4 years. Unfortunately my time has gone toward raising my child and I think she deserves a home that can focus on her . She has been very sweet to my child. She is loving tho can be a little stand offish. She likes to play!
