Story
Snowball and Kirby are both loving and friendly gentlemen looking for a new home.  Their elderly owner is ill and no longer able to care for them.  Snowball and Kirby are usually calm and enjoy being around people.  They are a little shy at first, but will eventually warm up.  Their perfect home would be with adults that have lots of love to give them! The suggested adoption donation for Snowball and Kirby is $100 for both, which includes a lifetime of free relationship-based training for any behavioral problems (not obedience training).  Muddy Paws is a 501c3 non-profit organization meaning that part of your donation MAY be TAX DEDUCTIBLE. We are a 100% volunteer rescue committed to giving animals a second chance at life. All donations go toward that mission. Adoption fees are the primary source of funding for the cost of veterinary care for our animals. In 2022 alone, we provided animal Healthcare totaling over $399,000 covered mainly through adoption fees. Please Note: A Courtesy Post designates that an animal is still in the home of its owner and not in a Muddy Paws foster. This means that our exposure to the animal is limited since we are only assisting the owner in finding a new home for their pet. From time to time, owners find a new furever home for their pets outside of Muddy Paws Second Chance Rescue and there is a delay in removing them from our site. We apologize if the Courtesy Post you apply to adopt is unavailable for adoption. Information about the adoption process: All adoptions require a completed ADOPTION APPLICATION. Once your application has completed our prescreen steps, we will put you in touch with the animal’s foster to see if you and the pet are a good match. If so, we will arrange a meeting for you and the animal. The adoptions for all of our animals will take place in the Omaha, NE area and must be done by the adoptive family in person. We do not ship or deliver. Please Note: We are a RESCUE, which is different from a shelter. We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks, and a Home Visit (Virtual in some cases) during the application approval process. We always select the right applicant for each animal, based on the animal’s needs. If you and the animal are not a good match, we will help you select another animal, or we will keep your approved application on file for 6 months. Story
Ollie is a young guy (b. 8/19/2022) looking for a new place!  He loves to spend his days lounging around and watching the birds outside.  Some of his favorite things are his cat tower, chasing his laser light and playing with his toys.  His absolute favorite thing is playing with his dog friend.  He's been around a dog his whole life and does well with dogs.  He isn't good with kids, so he needs to be in a home with adults  Ollie will let you pet him for a bit and then he's on to something else! The suggested adoption donation for Ollie is $65, which includes a lifetime of free relationship-based training for any behavioral problems (not obedience training).  Muddy Paws is a 501c3 non-profit organization meaning that part of your donation MAY be TAX DEDUCTIBLE. Story
Ralph is a great cat. He is snuggly and playful when he gets comfortable, but he is a scaredy cat that will need time to adjust. We're having trouble with him peeing on the dog beds and any laundry left on the floor and our attempts to get this behavior to stop hasn't worked, so we are looking to re-home him. Maybe someone with more experience or fewer cats can correct this.

Story
Oscar is such a sweet boy. He loves to cuddle and rub his face on yours. He enjoys laying on the back of the couch and resting his legs over your shoulder. I love him so much. I need for him to have a good home. I can't keep him because my grandson is extremely allergic. I know he will make a great addition to your family.

Story
Richard is a very affectionate cat. His favorite place to be is laying on my chest, purring, with his head under my chin. He is only 1, so he’s still playful. When he lays on his back (and isn’t sleeping) he normally wants to play. But I really don’t want to lose him. If I could afford boarding him until I have somewhere to stay I would….but I don’t. He is the sweetest boy, and a handsome one too.

Story
We are looking to rehome our cat. His name is Ollie he is 1.5 years old. He has all of his vaccinations, he is fixed and will come with his pet carrier, cat tower, litter box, and his food dish and a big box of his food. He needs to be in a home with someone who has experience with cats. He does great with dogs but not children and we children. I think a calmer home with adults only would be best. We would like to find someone who will be willing to send us updated pictures every once in a while if possible. We are located in the Bellevue area.
