Story
All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, shots current (DHPP, Bordetella and Rabies where applicable), dewormed, flea and tick treated, and microchipped.  * If you are interested in a dog, please first read the biography on the dog (keep scrolling down for the bio!) and then go to our website, www.dpsrescue.com for an application. Our adoption fees vary. Each biography will specifically list the adoption fee.Lilly is a young 9 month old kitty ready to find her forever family. Lilly was surrendered to us through a volunteer that works at a veterinary clinic and Lilly was brought into the vets office with an owner looking to euthanize her because “Lilly eats too much”. The vet was in no way going to have a young completely healthy cat euthanized for eating too much so our volunteer was asked to take her in instead of having her euthanized.  Lilly is a super sweet, lovable, fun, and playful cat ready to find her forever home. Lilly loves to play with all kinda of different cat toys, the wand being her favorite. Lilly also LOVES food. As her previous owner stated Lilly loves to eat and has become a little overweight. Going on a strict diet will put her back at a good weight but nothing like a little food control will work just fine. Lilly is currently living with a younger male kitten and has had no aggression or reaction to having another cat around. The other younger kitten is always wanting to play with her and can sometimes be a bully to her and Lilly has no reaction. Lilly has not been around dogs so we do not know how she would do with a dog in the home. Lilly is also litter box trained.    Lilly has been spayed, vaccinated, dewormed, flea treated, and microchipped and is ready to meet you!November 30, 2023, 12:09 pm

Story
I got poncho through a friend's friend who rescued him from the street. He was a little cautious of me at first but after a few days he warmed up to me. We didn't have any information on him so I think he is around mid life to senior age. I want to find him a home where he can be comfortable, roam the outside & feel loved by his adopter. Poncho is relaxed, affectionate & talkative at times.

Story
She’s young and feisty but loves to play. In a feisty way. I am not present enough to teach her nor have the time to keep her away from the boys. Need a loving home as soon as possible.

Story
Tom is a very affectionate and expressive cat. He’s has a mellow disposition which makes him get on well with our other pets. He is however a bit of a push over when it comes to more rambunctious pets. Tom was originally my husband’s roommate’s cat. He was left with us when we got married. He has become used to our kids and dog but was not raised around them. As much as I love this cat I don’t think he is thriving in our household like he should be. I believe our children, dog and other pets are causing him stress. Tom seems to be very emotional. I would like to see Tom go to a home where he can be a higher priority to his owners.
